De la part des éditeur·rice·s d'OpenTable: L'équipe mari et femme de Wade Ueoka et Michelle Karr-Ueoka a été formée dans des cuisines étoilées MICHELIN de Napa à New York avant de revenir à la maison pour ouvrir ce que Eater appelle l'un des restaurants les plus incontournables d'Honolulu. L'espace aéré du deuxième étage dispose d'une grande salle à manger animée où l'on peut déguster des plats hawaïens signature comme le kampachi en croûte de mochi et les sliders de bœuf wagyu sur des petits pains au mochi faits maison. Gardez de la place pour les desserts primés de Karr-Ueoka, telle la glace pilée à la mangue.

Located on 2nd Floor in Velocity Honolulu Building. Use "Velocity Honolulu" or enter in "888 Kapiolani Blvd" as destination location for Uber or Lyft. DO NOT enter MW Restaurant in Uber or Lyft, because we have been having issues with guests being dropped at our old location. Drop off and entrance to the restaurant and valet parking is from Kapiolani Blvd make a right at the Mercedes Benz sign and go straight down to the end of the lane and then turn up the ramp. Parking on the ground level in the MW Valet only stall is prohibited and subject to be towed away at the owner expense.

Food and service always consistent whenever we dine here. Ordered the short ribs, steak, mochi-crusted kampachi and cioppino. Everything was excellent.

It was our first time in MW since moving back to the island and we kicked ourselves a bit for waiting so long. Every aspect of our meal was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the musubi and the pork hash dumplings in truffle bacon dashi (would have drank a bucket of the dashi and would like it on everything.) The oysters were perfect; some of the best we’ve had on island. The arancini was fun as well. My wife had the butterfish and I had the ribeye. Both were perfectly prepared and as tasty as anything we had…from the first bite to the last. We cleaned every plate/dish of every morsel because each bite brought you back for more. The service was first class; our server was helpful, professional, relaxed, and fun.

This was our first time to MW Restaurant. The parking to this building was a little confusing , we turned into the driveway from Kapiolani Blvd. and followed the signs. We turned right to the lane that was the exit back to Ward Avenue. Luckily we were able to reversed out and then saw the sign to MW Restaurant Valet. From there, everything was a piece of cake. The hostess was very nice and showed us to our table. Our waiter Darren was also very pleasant and went over the menu and answered our questions. We ordered spam musubi, Butterfish snd Steak with beer and Irish/Kalua tall drink. Everything was awesome. We ended ordering Shave Ice for dessert which was perfect. The staff looked very professional yet down to earth friendly. I totally would recommend MWRestaurant to my family and friends. Thank you. ☺️

Great food. Loved the ambience. Food came out fast. Drinks were a little strong and could be a little sweeter

Two of us sat at Bar. Excellent service with great insights into drinks and menu. A wide variety of creative options. Our appetizers and entree were excellent. A very nice surprise and would return any time we are in HNL and highly recommend. Is located adjacent/in same building as upscale car dealership - so setting is clean and spacious but not remarkable or beautiful.

We visited this restaurant for our anniversary after hearing recommendations from people in the Symphony area. While the atmosphere was lovely and the depth of flavor in the sauces was impressive, the overall seasoning of the dishes was quite disappointing. The seafood main dish had a nice mushroom aroma, but it was overly salty. The ribeye steak was cooked well, but it was also too salty, so we had to rely on the rice the server later provided to balance out the flavors. If the seasoning had been milder, we would have been able to fully appreciate the great ambiance, rich sauces, and aromatic flavors. It was an enjoyable experience overall, but the heavy seasoning made it a bit underwhelming.

Very pleased with everything. Food and service was top notch. Apps were especially good. Short rib wontons,ahi nachos and the main course Duck l’ orange were winners all. Highly recommend.

As always sparkling choice of wines, attentive service, friendly staff, food - well balanced sauces to complement the delicious fare we’ve enjoyed every time dining at MW

Thoroughly enjoy dining at MW. Always make it a point to take visiting friends and relatives to dine at MW. This will be the third time this year. A varied menu to meet any diner's preference and consistent execution of the dishes. Also feel that dining at MW is a great value for the high level of food that is offered.
