    as usual, lovely food and an enjoyable meal in a great atmosphere. The service was a bit slow this time, however usually very good. Highly recommended place and one of our favourites for an Indian meal out.

    The food was ok, samosas were especially good. The vegan curry was questionable, no one including the manager were able to explain what root vegetable chicken actually was. We are still non the wiser. We were advised it was a root vegetable dish initially, not a vegetable in sight, however a fake meat substitute seemed to be imbedded in sauce at which point it was revealed a root vegetable chicken was the ingredient. Baffled. Unfortunately the staff serving us on Saturday were all new and clearly had no training regarding the menu, ingredients or availability, I’ll leave that there. However despite the above, staff were Courteous.

    We waited 45 minutes after ordering. Two dishes arrived cold. We didn’t even get an apology.

    As a long-term resident of Highgate who was about to move to another area of London, I made a point of visiting Namaaste before I left and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious, particularly the Parsi duck which was spicy and fruity at the same time. The portions were the exact right size and the service was brilliant, we felt really well looked-after. The restaurant is lovely inside and was playing great music. Would definitely trek from Lewisham to experience again!
