Located on Austin’s vibrant South Congress Avenue, Neighborhood Sushi serves high quality sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes in a casual and beautiful setting. Happy hour and-a-half will offer food and beverage specials weekdays 3pm - 5pm throughout the entire restaurant.

Our front door is on the neighborhood facing side, in the Annie Street parking lot. Look for a black-stained door with a white and wood light-box sign. Our host will be waiting inside to welcome you! ADA accessible entry through the Sake Garden on the Congress sidewalk.

One of my favorite restaurants in Austin! Lived here for years and whenever I come back it is top of my list. Their vegetable nigiri is so unique and delicious- as a fish lover, veggie sushi doesn’t usually move the needle for me, but the corn and shishito nigiri here are a must. The food is simple, fresh, and so delicious. And the cocktails are so refreshing and tasty!

Truly a delightful experience with fast food and the most knowledgeable staff! They had no issues accommodating some allergies in our group.

We showed up ravenous and eager to try NS at 8:20, but our 8:30 reservation was not honored. They were magically able to seat us immediately once we finally said something around 8:50. We ordered 7 different items when we sat down and asked for them to be brought out as they were ready. Edamame, 3 sashimi, & 3 rolls. By 9:25, we had received one sashimi order and the rest had been “moments away” for at least 20 minutes. Our waitress was attentive and apologetic, but the kitchen was incredibly slow. We ended up leaving for another restaurant at 9:30, even more hungry than we arrived. No need to come back to NS when there are much more reliable options out there.

We sat at the sushi counter and had a great experience from sushi chefs and our bartender Claire. The food was delicious and they even gifted us a glass of champagne and a special nigiri for our anniversary. We hope to be back soon!

Ambiance is really nice. Simple wood furniture with nice lighting. We sat at the sushi counter and had an amazing time. We ordered a spicy tuna roll, two king salmon nigiri, a salmon hand roll, a yellowtail roll, and edamame. Cocktails are amazing. We ordered the red dragon and a birds of paradise. The birds of paradise was AMAZING. Our server was great as well. Overall a really nice experience.
