Very nice restaurant with attentive and engaged service. Food is of great quality and well prepared. Some advertised courses changed on the night, but still good quality , and in tune with the overall menu - mentioned for information. Marked down only on the price of the drinks . The wine list is not extensive and the restaurant would like , of course, you to take the accompanying wines. But £70+ for a bottle of wine which would cost £15 to buy at a merchant reduces the overall feeling of well being. Having said that I would return for a different theme in future.

Absolutely incredible . Outstanding cooking - clever combinations , charming service super relaxed. Ryan the guy on the floor fanatical about wine in a fun way- and the pairings were incredible. Also the value!!!!! such a good deal…. What a secret !!!!! When dining out is relaxed, refined well crafted and fun …. Wow. Will be back very soon.

As a sister restaurant of St Bart’s, I had a higher expectation towards the quality but it was a bit disappointing. We had the beef course and honestly the food was ordinary without any wow factor. The service was pretty standard, didn’t get a lot of attention from the waiters but not to the extent that it takes forever for someone to come over. So overall the experience was average and considering the price of it, it’s a bit underwhelming.

Tricky review to write. Interesting concept restaurant but left feeling a little underwhelmed. Our tasting menu was “beef” and there were some delicious plates - the oyster very tasty, the beef broth intense and delicious, the beef tartare was lovely - melt in the mouth, the soda bread was divine and the pumpkin and truffle was lovely. However the beef main dish was very unimpressive - the beef was chewy and had very little flavour which was surprising as the smell of bbq coming from the open kitchen was great but that aroma did not translate onto the plate and the prime protein was a real let down along with an under-seasoned rosti. And then we were already into the desserts - mint choc chip ice cream which was tasty but not explosive and then the poached pear which was a little under for me and not unctuous enough served with another ice cream albeit a crème fraiche one but still too much of the same texture as ice cream from the previous course. Finished with some tasty petit fours and a free espresso coffee presumably as I had flagged my concerns about the beef dish. So a mixed bag on the food - some delicious plates and some disappointing ones. And all on the slightly small side which I think is something raised by others. We decided to do the wine pairing and did get interesting and well paired wines with the food with an interesting story each time from our waitress who was great. However it felt a bit light in terms of volume and next time I think I would pick a couple of bottles from the wine list. And I would suggest a change in the glassware - we had all wines in the same small bistro style wine glass (a clean one each time for sure) but which rather underwhelmed the experience. Your hand-crafted tableware is lovely so do pick some glassware to celebrate and show off your wine pairings. As stated a tricky review to write - good but not great and at £350 for 2 feels a bit overpriced. But perhaps that is just today’s London!
