Nicco’s Prime Cuts & Fish is Durango Casino & Resort’s modern American steakhouse featuring prime meats, market-fresh seafood and a chic dining scene. Curated by innovative Executive Chef Michael Tomorsky and property executive chef Daniel Ye, Nicco’s menu is all about sourcing – from the finest meat purveyors, dry-aged fish markets and straight-from-the-farm produce – all executed with a true culinarian’s precision.

Nicco’s offers a dinner menu that brings to life the best of both land and sea including a premium steak menu featuring USDA Prime, Dry Aged (exclusively for Nicco’s) and Wagyu cuts hand-selected from the world’s finest ranchers and purveyors alongside traditional American steakhouse dishes and signature entrees. Guests can also select from a fresh fish market seafood display featuring a variety of premium catches flown in daily while a raw bar, caviar and crudo menu round out the seafood experience.

We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were greeted and seated promptly, but waited for someone to bring menus. The wine menu was not received until after the appetizers arrived. Once we got menus, it took a short period of time to order. We were brought read and butter. The bread was very hard, not ease to eat. The appetizers came out promptly. The burrata salad was AMAZING, but my husband said the crab cake was under seasoned. I ordered filet which was good! My husband tried the bison ribeye which arrived overcooked. My husband didn’t send it back, but it wasn’t his favorite. We sat with dirty plates for 10-15 minutes. It then took 5-10 minutes to bring boxes. Then we had to wait again for the dessert menu so we passed because we were over it at that point. The service impacts the overall experience! Moreover, it was extremely loud and we were not able to have a conversation easily because it was so loud! Not a quiet steakhouse, not an intimate dinner spot!

Crab cakes were the highlight of the evening. Had a wonderful time. Would recommend.

Entrees was just ok. Appetizers were great! Service was hit or miss. At times they were very good and then we wouldn’t have a waitress come back to the table for 30 minutes.

Definitely a nice place to celebrate a special occasion. It's not inexpensive, but great food, wine, and service. Love sitting at the bar and also the dining room.
