More than a restaurant, Nicksan is a culinary experience of the highest level. In its open kitchen, the ingredients of two ancestral cultures located on opposite sides of the world are fused.

Its owners Masayuki Niikura and Ángel Carbajal, originally from Japan and Mexico respectively, opened the first Nicksan restaurant in Los Cabos in 1994, creating amazing congruencies between the flavors of both countries.

Some of the signature dishes that you can taste at our fabulous Residences Plaza location in Nuevo Vallarta are the spicy tuna cake, the salmon skin cone, the Shiromi Coriander and Maguro Lemon sushi rolls, the cucumber salad with wakame seaweed and crab, the gorgonzola shrimp and the serranito beef fillet.

Within our new cocktail and sake menu you will find unique creations, perfect to match your lunch, dinner or just to toast with friends in an environment full of elegance and flavor. Come and try the best of two worlds!

Frecuentamos mucho este restaurante y siempre había sido una gran experiencia. Ayer la comida estuvo riquísima pero el servicio fue malo. Las cosas tardaban demasiado en llegar (no solo comida sino pedir hielos o palillos) , el vino estaba malo y no nos ofrecieron solución, nos dijeron que le pondrían descuento y al final no lo hicieron. Pedimos un pastel de cumpleaños y nunca llegó (no esperamos cortesía sino pagarlo pero no lo llevaron). No retiraban los platos y vasos sucios. Pero la comida como siempre deliciosa y el lugar es hermoso . Desafortunadamente esta vez la experiencia no fue de 5 estrellas como otras veces

Maybe tonight was just an off night. We have eaten here a few times and food and service have always been great. Tonight there were 6 of us inside. We all ordered a drink and then we had to call them over to take our first request for food. It arrived within a decent time but then it took a while to hail our waiter and order second servings. It took another 1/2 hr to 40 mins to receive and the chicken teriyaki was cold and they forgot to serve the rice. Not our best night there.

The cucumber salad meant for two people is delicious. Highly recommend. Four of us at the table ordered many different things…. all were delicious

Nicksan never disappoints! It is definitely our favourite in the area. The food is so fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. Javier is a wonderful waiter!
