Food was delicious drinks were strong! Busy on a Saturday night, but we enjoyed the vibe. Service was friendly, good!

Nick’s on State offers some fantastic dishes—the Chilean sea bass and chicken piccata were both outstanding, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Our servers were attentive and friendly, though we did have our assigned servers switched twice during the meal, which was a bit confusing but didn’t impact the service quality. The main downside was the seating near the bar. The tiny booths by the kitchen door, bathroom, and bar station felt cramped and loud, making it hard to relax. If you’re seated in the bar area, request the patio or a table on the other side for a better dining experience. Overall, the food and service were great, but the seating in certain areas takes away from the atmosphere. Would return—just with a better table next time.

Love the look of the restaurant. Sat outdoors, where it was a little noisy, but nice. Staff very attentive and helpful. I forgot my sunglasses, and they were holding them for me when I went back for them. I ate the spicy Thai salad, which was very tasty and had plenty of chicken. Expensive, though.

First time at this location. Food and drinks consistently excellent. We had the sea bass and prime rib dip. Martini was great, although I was surprised they did not have Tanqueray gin in stock. Half the restaurant is a covered patio. Probably delightful in the summer, but can be chilly on a rainy winter evening. It warmed up once they drew the screen shade and vinyl drape. Ceiling heaters worked well. Service was excellent and engaging.

Absolutely delicious food. Service was excellent with thorough knowledge of its contents and preparation with special attention to one in our party who is gluten sensitive. Love the architecture and the ambiance.

Always an exceptional experience at Nick's. We have dined at three different Nick's locations. Each one special and unique in design and decor. Never disappointed in this upscale chain. Five star all the way around .
