Le Nico Kitchen & Bar, situé dans le centre de Newark, au NJPAC, vous fera voyager jusqu’en Italie. Le très acclamé chef du New Jersey Ryan DePersio jouit d’une notoriété sans précédent. Our reservation was at 630 before an 8pm show. It was a good thing we got there at 6, because we did not get out until 750! The prices are extremely high for cafeteria level food. Best stick with the burger , which none of us ordered, but should have. The “margarita pizza” looked like a DiGiorno. The special seafood ravioli was very fishy. The biscuits were ok. The beet salad was actually a huge arugula salad with about four slivers of beets on the bottom. Dressing was meh. Shrimp to accompany were poached not grilled. Yuck. Steak was recommended and was nothing to write home about but of course the most expensive item on the menu. Expresso/cappuccino machine not working on a Saturday night. Go to a Spanish restaurant or eat at home beforehand. Don’t waste your money here.

Sub optimal experience tonight at Nico. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful, but the food was extremely slow in coming and was poor quality. Presentation was zero. We were in the restaurant for one and a half hours and service was so slow that we were not even offered a dessert menu because our show was starting. We will not be coming back.

Everything was great until I paid the bill I had gift card for 125.00 dollars issued by nico's on line. The check was 100.00plus 6.625 % sales tax total $106.62 , 18% tip on the total came to 125.81.. I told the server keep the remaining balance. He told me I couldnt use the balance for the tip. The manager came out said the gift card is a one time use meaning use it all no credit extended. No where is this stated on the website. I was not offered anything in compensation for the remaing 18 dollars, plus I still left 5 dollars cash tip. I hope they gave the server the difference this is a real disservice to the customers.

Arrive at 550 for our 6pm reservation. Seated right away , server was terrific however food took way too long to arrive, we had to rush to get to the show at 8, when food did arrive it was cold

A really great place for lunch when you’re seeing an event at NJPAC. Great cocktails, delicious food, and a nice Jersey-local ambience that’s hip and sophisticated.

I have eaten at Nico’s many times because rather disappointed during this visit. My risotto was served cold, and the shrimp scampi portion ordered by another member of our party was extremely small for the price. Considering the dish has pasta in it, which is quite inexpensive. The price for the total dish was ridiculous. Well, food has gone up Nico’s pricing. It’s a bit off the wall, considering what they are giving you.

Nico's is located in the NJPAC building so it is the most convenient place to eat when you're going to a concert. There are very few choices for a sit down dinner if you're going to the NJPAC & and you don't want to move your car from the garage. (Across the street is Swahili Village & a restaurant in the Robert treat hotel). The staff it goes is wonderful and the service was fast because they know you were going to see a performance. But, the food is OK and very overpriced. The back room of the restaurant i is barren and & it feels like you're eating at dining hall. The ambience and decor in the first two rooms is very nice.
