Nicolosi’s is a family-owned and operated Italian restaurant that has been serving up delicious food for over 60 years. Salvatore Nicolosi emigrated from Sicily to America in 1906, and opened his first restaurant in 1952. Since then, the Nicolosi family has worked hard to make their restaurant one of the most popular in town.

The restaurant did not honor the Open Table restaurant. I was informed that this was my fault, because I didn’t make the reservation early enough in the day. Really bad customer service. Won’t try again.

Definitely smaller space than previous location, with tables very close together. I was expecting pepperoni, provolone cheese and peperoncini in my garden salad, as shown in the menu, but it came without. Considering, it was Valintines day and very busy, my Valintine and myself enjoyed a good meal with good service, overall.

Food is good and ambiance is casual. Some of the tables are close together, so close you hear everyone else’s conversations.

I’ve been going to Nicolosi’s for 40 years, at all their locations. It is still worth the drive from Carlsbad to Santee to eat here, love it.
