Nixtamal is a traditional maiz process that has been a staple for Mexican food since the Mesoamerican cultures. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Nixtamali Molino + Comedor is a unique Mexican culinary experience bringing flavors from different regions of Mexico like: Mexico City, Yucatan, Oaxaca among other Northern regions of Mexico.

Over the years, the value of corn has deteriorated, and our main objective is to revive and maintain this value in Mexican gastronomy. Nixtamali Molino Comedor is an authentic and regional Mexican cuisine in the United States. More than a restaurant, we offer an experience that takes you to Mexico with its flavors and, with the nixtamal process, to pre-Hispanic times.

A colleague in town for business came with me to try out Nixtamali. There was no visible name on the restaurant, so we were a bit confused going in. What we found was a nice place with a rustic interior, good music and a nice ambiance. The main room was about half full and we were able to hear each other talk easily. The food and drinks were delicious! My colleague had passionfruit margaritas and I had a Diego Rivera Old Fashioned and regular Mezcal old fashioned. All were quite good. Each dish was a standout, from the guacamole, to the salsas, grilled baby corn, pulpo tacos and cochinita pibil tacos. We just ordered appetizers so we could try many items. The chips were also delicious. Service was a bit uneven. The cocktails were slow to be delivered, but food came out quickly. Our primary server, who may have been inexperienced, didn't seem to be comfortable checking in or even bringing the check at the end of our meal. That is the only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five. I suspect that will improve. Definitely recommend it for Oaxacan flavors and excellent cocktails.

Great experience. The food was incredible and very unique. The drinks were also very unique and delicious. The lady helping us was very attentive and nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed eating a unique cuisine that was beautifully presented and delicious. The pork belly with green mole was extremely good with only a little fat that was very flavorful.

We had a wonderful experience at Nixtamali! From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by friendly staff and were frequently checked on throughout our meal. Everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious including 2 queso’s guacamole and bar drinks. Everyone in our group ordered a different entree and unanimously agreed that it was all delicious! Our server was kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and explained the various dishes very well. We will definitely return!

This is one of the best service restaurants I've ever taken a team dinner out to. They were very accommodating, even when I had to shift the team to a higher amount of people. Food was fantastic, drinks were reasonably priced. Service at the table was great. Will come again next time I'm in SA, but without 10 other people

Sunday brunch, 12 pm, 3 tables , basically empty ,we are 4 people menu very small, you have 2 options, very basic, you can imagine with that menu the food will be fast, mmmm not at all take 40 minutes to bring the plate one ! by one , we order coffee with milk, not regular coffee and mils aside !!! sugar take 20 mins to get the table, at that moment coffees are cold, typical excuses, the guy attending us its new and in training !!!!! are you ok??? nobody give us a discount for your training, the service bad, bad , bad, we pay 200.00 for 4 eggs 4 fritangas and 6 drinks, portions small. but the website as always telling you they are the best and bla bla bla, not any more, don't be fool for this place, the food was good but not to colme back

Food was good but not great especially when you consider the price. Service is friendly but very slow. Atmosphere is good. The restaurant is nice and clean.

Due the Valentine’s Day the crew were dealing with too much workload. The food was amazing but the speed for getting the plates to the table a little bit delayed and confused.
