No 97 is a little neighbourhood restaurant located on leafy Maple Road in Surbiton.

City meets country. In all the good ways. An easy mix of innovation and international cuisine with openness and rootsy warmth. It’s a natural extension of who we are – part city slicker, part bumpkin, with a vision that is guided by the seasons, our travels and our experiences.

No 97 is us. A husband and wife team, surrounded by a top bunch of people. Our concept is simple – contemporary dining in a relaxed environment. It’s food inspired by fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, paired with an eclectic selection of wines, gin and innovative cocktails.

Lovely evening, food was yummy and restaurant/staff were great. The ony disappointment was the £5 supplement on the octopus starter in which I only got ONE tentacle. I feel one tentacle would have been stingy without the supplement but to be charged an extra £5 for it was outrageous.

amazing evening! always a joy to come to no. 97. Great staff, lovely bar staff who know their stuff and excellent waiting staff. Food is amazing, so many flavours on one plate. Really entertaining and lovely evening all round.

Food was amazing, staff are great drinks really nice . The entire evening was lovely we will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family

We visited No 97 for our anniversary dinner and it was perfect. Food is exquisite, my partner said it was the best meal he’d had in years and service was fabulous. Would love to come back again.

Food was good. Service was poor. Had to ask multiple times to order a drink - waiting staff definitely not as attentive as it used to be.

We frequently visit No97 because it is normally great! Yesterday, we were not seated for 30 mins past our time we booked for. The seating area was filthy, marks all over the furniture and table: it looks like dry candle wax on the blue sofas? The starter and dessert yummy, as well as the cocktail. The main was disappointing, roast potatoes cold and dry, the gravy serving was tiny and carrots and parsnips were under cooked. Beef was yummy! The music was too loud, I asked for the music to be turned down, which staff did and then 5 mins later, it was then turned back up. It didn’t feel like its normal chilled place to eat. I had sent an email to No97 last year around a similar issue around the service, never got a response. I don’t normally provide feedback, however, I would still go back, just needs to work on what makes no97 a cool place to eat at. Sorry No97 Team.

Elegantly plated food that is delicious and creative. They have clearly put lots of thought into the combinations of textures and flavours!
