We had a fantastic time at Nobu Chicago. Their reservation process was fast and easy, with a friendly atmosphere. What made our experience even better was our waiter, Jay. He was absolutely nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. He helped us pick the best food that suited our taste. We will definitely get back to this place when we’re in Chicago again."

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE. You’re instructed to be on time because you’re only allowed to stay for 2 hours. Well. We showed up VERY early. Half an hour early. Our time slot was the last possible one at 2:30 PM for brunch. They send you a message informing you that the buffet will end at 3:30 PM. Ok, so an hour of buffet time. Should be enough if you get your seat at 2:30. WELL. I checked in with the hostess twice after the initial arrival. First time at 2:25 pm. She tells me it will just be a few mins; they’re clearing a table. It’s 2:40. I go again to ask about our table. “It’s just gonna be a few mins.” It’s 2:47 pm. I’ve had enough. By the time we get seated, waiter takes our drink order, we will have closer to 30 mins of time to actually eat at the buffet. I’m not gonna pay ~$150 for the buffet just to be rushed and not even really get to eat the ALL YOU CAN EAT. We left. At 2:51 pm they sent me a text saying my table was ready. So we would have gotten less than 30 mins to actually eat. As I said, don’t bother with this place. I know I won’t bother with them again. They neither care nor respect your time. There are better sushi places anyway. My tried and true is Yuzu. Amazing sushi, great staff, and always a pleasant experience, the exact opposite of Nobu. Go to Yuzu instead!

Tried the Nobu weekend buffet and personally didn’t find it impressive. We were seated 15–20 minutes past our reservation time, which wasn’t a great start. The food was mediocre overall — the sushi rice tasted cheap and the fish quality wasn’t great. On the positive side, they did a good job refilling the buffet quickly, even toward closing time, so the selection stayed full. Service was decent — the staff cleared plates promptly and checked on us a couple of times. Overall, it was nice to try once, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

Came in for my sons 26th birthday. We opted for a custom menu and told our server what we were willing to spend. I think we shared eight courses… every single dish was SUPERB. The reserve Cab was exquisite. Can’t love it enough. Will definitely be back.

This was our first time at the Nobu brunch. We had the last seating at 2:30. The value is very good. There are many sushi options and pretty good seafood options. I suggest some different salads. The 2 they had were very similar but for mushrooms on top of one. The cucumber salad was just ok. Also other than the roast beef and breakfast sandwich there wasn’t much variety and very few vegetables. The roasted potatoes were spicy. A chicken option would have been nice. The dessert table would be better with some fruit options. We kept asking for butter for the rolls but never received any. Also waited a long time for teriyaki sauce. They didn’t replenish the cod bites and ceviche with about 30 minutes to go. They also were completely out of shrimp when we arrived. There should be a reduced cost for the last seating. We only had about 30 minutes to go up to the buffet with the last seating at 2:30. We waited a few minutes for the table then waited for our waiter to take our drink order. You have to love sushi to really enjoy this buffet brunch. It’s very loud with music with a heavy bass playing. Overall good value for the money and we were full but not really satisfied. We were celebrating a 62nd birthday and there was no acknowledgment at all despite the restaurant reaching out and telling me they would be bringing out a dessert but never brought anything. Lots of brunch options in Chicago which we would choose next time over Nobu.
