We’ve been to Nobu’s all over the place and this one was kind of boring. Sushi has become overly trendy so it’s getting harder to compete—no wow factor here. This was overpriced and tucked in the corner of our hotel lobby—-felt like eating in a hotel bar. Menu lacked detailed descriptions so it was kind of a crapshoot on what we ordered. Don’t get me wrong, it was still good—but at $450 for 2 people—-I think they could do better.

Our meal was spectacular! Right now they’re in a pop-up space in the hotel and it is a bit strange as you sit in the lobby behind some tall trees, however, I know they are moving into a better space and this will be a hot ticket. The food is out of this world.

My wife and I are staying at the hotel and we had dinner at Nobu. We eat in Japanese restaurants before, but we needed help on what to choose for our dinner. The service was absolutely terrible meaning they couldn’t give us the time of day. He was very uninterested in explaining the food like we were bothering him. It also took a very long time for the food to come what we ordered was delicious. The water boy Stephen was great and was so nice.

Ambience was that of Holiday Inn. Not a restaurant but a section of garish hotel lobby. Very disappointing experience. Nothing like Nobu London or NYC.

We came here for our anniversary and for the most part it was good. We ordered was was recommended to us. The baby corn truffle honey, fantastic! Black cod butter lettuce, yummy. Yellowtail jalapeño, yummy. Black cod miso, very good. Crispy rice spicy tuna, not good. We each took a bite and that was it, left the rest. The server asked us how it was and we were honest. I thought a restaurant of this caliber would ask to replace or remove but nothing. His reply was, at least the black cod was good. That was very disappointing. I guess when gratuity is included there is no need to take care of the guest.

Please note it’s more of a pop-up test location of the restaurant in the hotel. Food is amazing.

Was looking forward to dining at nobu manalapan. Was extremely disappointed when we arrived to discover that it was a pop up and in fact not Nobu the restaurant. I would have appreciated knowing that we would be sitting in the lobby of the l’eau hotel. Service staff and manager were great but a disappointing experience. Also be warned that they automatically charge a 20% gratuity ( this is not what a gratuity should be )!!!!

Our waitress was incredibly knowledgable about not only Nobu, but food in general. She recommended the most delicious items and was patient with our millions of questions. Her attitude was so positive it seemed like she was truly happy to be there. Service is wonderful and the portions are small but this allows you to order many things & not be overwhelmed. I was so pleased with my experience, just didn’t love the chairs and the carpet floors….

Since it's a pop up, it's not the typical NOBU experience but overall a great night.
