   Kansas City just got a new heavyweight in the dining scene, and we almost don’t want to share it. Noka is everything we love in a restaurant—impeccable food, a killer vibe, and the kind of service that makes you want to stay all night. The Feast: Sushi First, Then the Meat Sweats We started with the tuna truffle roll, salmon and wagyu nigiri, and tuna belly—all absolute fire. Each bite was buttery, fresh, and balanced, a reminder of our sushi haunts back in San Francisco. Then, we made the move to the meats, because what’s better than indulging in sushi before diving into a ribeye? (Answer: nothing.) The lettuce wraps kept things light before the richness of the fried rice and steak set in—an indulgence we fully embraced. By the end, we had the perfect meat sweats going. For dessert, the chocolate brownie hit all the right notes, and drink-wise, the coconut water cocktail was refreshing while the rose vodka drink kept things classy. The Vibe: Cool, Confident, and No Gimmicks We sat at the small high-top table (not the community seating—though that looked fun, too), which felt just right for the experience. The music? Absolute bangers. Whoever’s on aux deserves a raise. Service was effortless. Our waiter, Tofur, was straight out of a Wes Anderson film—stylish in a Western sheen look, sharp on the menu, and most importantly, not a stage 5 clinger. Bonus points for the owner stopping by—turns out he also owns The Russell, another spot we love. He even told us he got inspired by Angler in San Francisco (one of our old stomping grounds). That kind of thoughtful influence shines through in the menu. Final Verdict Noka is officially our new favorite spot. But shhh… don’t tell anyone.    What a wonderful experience we had during our first time at Noka. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Our servers were attentive and friendly. And the food was absolutely great. Will definitely come back.

   Our first time at Noka was very relaxing. We had a great time! The food tasted delicious. Our server was attentive and nice. This will definitely be a regular spot for me to enjoy my sushi nights.

   Such an exquisite experience…. My husband is a foody so o picked this place based on a recommendation from a friend. He said the best place he eaten at! This is a GEM and worth every penny! Staff is phenomenal thank you-thank you- thank you

   Amazing spot to grab dinner. Best price for the experience in Kansas City! Great food and amazing service the chef walks around to ask how the food was. Overall 10/10 everytime I go!
