   Always a great experience when we come to Nomad. A family favorite, we love the lollipops, sticky ribs, waygu burger is amazing!

   First time at Nomad, and went for Valentine's Day. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing, especially the sauces. Would easily recommend and come back.

   Service was very slow, but everything else was amazing. The sticky ribs and mushroom risotto were to die for. My margarita was a bit too spicy and the bartender fixed it perfectly and kindly.

   The entire evening was exceptional. Our server, Emily, was attentive and engaging, without hovering. We were celebrating a birthday. The chef’s special touches, such as the chocolate walnut brittle, were very kind.

   We had a fantastic experience for my birthday dinner last night. We ordered the Cashew Halibut and Filet, both were prepared perfectly and tasted amazing! Followed that with a chocolate mousse cake and blueberry cobbler and both were wonderful. Brian surprised me with a fun board of Birthday cocktails which I did not expect but totally made my night special! Our waitress was a pleasure too, thank you for a great experience!

   The best food we had all week. Staff was amazing, the GM wished us a Happy Anniversary and the Chef came out to tell us about the new dish we had ordered. My wife still says this was the best lamb we’ve ever had, and the ribs were unreal as well. Oh, and the bao buns were delicious. Everything about this place over-delivered and we will be going back next year when we visit. The value was great, everything we ordered was well worth the price. Five stars on every metric! Thanks for a special anniversary memory, Nomad 🙌

   I’m sure when I make reservations through OT that I will get a poor table location. What gives? First table a six top for two people, right inside the door! It was a cold blustery night in Northern Michigan. So this table guaranteed food getting cold quickly, which I despise. Second table a duce right next to the bathrooms 😕. I could tell we weren’t going to win. Our waiter was very good however with timing, explanations, follow-up, even a little humor and respected our requests. We have eaten here before when attending a function at t(e Great Lakes Center for the Arts, and in the past the chefs menu items seem to over spice it up. Which we don’t like spices with a lot of heat so it was a little difficult to pick something without putting something on the side or leaving it off our meal choice. Which can be difficult in the kitchen. So with all this said our choices were both very good. I had the Cashew Halibut 8oz with Caribbean spiced cashews on the side, and my husband had the Wague Hamburger. The odd thing is that prices are fairly steep, and “nothing comes with the entree”. So we ordered a Nomads Caesar Salad (which could have fed us and the table next to us), however it was very good for $20. I would have preferred a smaller size salad and a vegetable added to my meal even it it was four long green beans. My husband’s hamburger was huge. A double smash with lots of pepper bacon, and a sunnyside up egg served open faced also served by itself not even a pickle😉. Both meals were too big for us to finish, and we ended up taking some home. Which I would rather not because it’s unusual for restaurant food to be as good the second time around. Knowing what we now know when we try Nomads again we will order one entree and a salad to share. I do recommend Nomads even though the choices are few, a little steep and remember it’s not a la carte it’s just different.

    Made the trek-up after a day of skiing at Boyne Mtn. Restaurant was quiet...for a Saturday night. Menu is small (off-season?), but clever. Some of the "main plates" don't match the price tag, but we were on vacation and didn't care. Chef brought out a complimentary dessert for our party...thank you sir. Our server, Emily was very nice.
