   Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive, although there was a backlog in the kitchen, making the wait time longer than anticipated. We enjoyed calamari as an appetizer and it was phenomenal. Our entrées were nicely prepared overall my family and I had a nice dinner and will return soon.

   I had dinner with a friend last night, we hadn't seen each other in awhile. It was a little tough to talk over the noise, the restaurant was pretty loud, but we managed. We both had pasta, she had the pesto chicken and I had the white lasagna with beef short rib. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. We each had 2 glasses of wine, 1 was 9oz and 1 was 6oz. The wine was good but pretty pricey for what we ordered and the second glass did not arrive until after our meal was finished. This was not the fault of the server who was excellent. She answered all our questions and took great care of us. I would recommend North Italia and will most likely be back.

   The Ballantyne Bowl is obviously the place to be in South Charlotte right now, and for a 5:30 reservation, the restaurant was packed, perhaps a bit frenetic. Servers were hustling, people were everywhere. Servers didn't look like they were having a very good time, or enjoying their work, they were just nose to the grindstone, serving customers and turning tables. The food was good, not fantastic. The salads are a bit pricy as are the appetizers and desserts. Everything seemed a bit pricey, frankly. We shared Cacio e pepe arancini balls, an arugula salad and the honey prosciutto pizza along with a glass of wine and a cocktail. We enjoyed our food. With an average tip, just under $110.00. We'll go back, as I'd like to try some of their pasta next time. But what a busy place!

   My wife and I made reservations for a party of two at 4:30 pm on a Saturday. We noted that the restaurant was packed. It is obviously a place to be and be seen. After we were seated, our wonderful waitress took amble time to explain the menu. She made a few suggestions which we followed. We were not disappointed. It took a little while for the food to arrive. But when it came, the wait time was forgiven… because the food was so good. Our dining experience was augmented by this being our first visit to The Bowl at Ballantyne. It is a remarkable urban oasis to eat, shop and explore.

    This was our first time to North Italia. We stopped in for brunch. Neither of us were super hungry, but needed a bit of food and we were in the Bowl area. We made reservations and very glad we did. We just got a few things: meatballs, salmon avocado toast, and fried eggs. Everything that we had was very good. The menu looks amazing. We were sad that weren't more hungry as we wanted to try so many more things. We will definitely be back. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Service was very good. If this small sampling of food is any indication of what the rest of their dishes will be like - this will likely become a staple for us.
