The eggplant appetizer was incredibly salty. Not recommended unless a change is made. The Diet Coke was incredibly sweet , needed some limes to moderate the sweetness. Service was pleasant but has been better. Suggested tip tables include tax , which to me is somewhat deceptive on the part of management. Not impressed.

Tortellini was outstanding. Branzino was perfectly cooked. Charcuterie board is the best of any restaurant in the area. Service was very attentive and friendly. Ambience was energetic and cool for a Saturday night. Totally recommend.

First time visit. We all loved our meals. Appetizers and desserts were also delicious. Our server was very attentive and had great recommendations. We didn’t have the best location in the restaurant but we were able to talk and enjoy our evening together. We will definitely return.

Decent food, nice service. I want to like this place, but it needs to up its game, especially in terms of basics like getting drinks in a timely manner before meals and cleaning its bathroom facilities.

We were seated immediately which was great for a group of 12, but it took 3 hours to get everyone’s food and bill, and in that time, most of us never received water or beverages.

This is my latest favorite restaurant in Fairfax County, VA. I have been there twice recently and have been impressed both times. Thru Open Table, I got the reservation I wanted. The ambiance at North Italia is terrific, especially for a date. Low lights, however, make it difficult to read the menu. But, I love the low lights once I've ordered my food. The food is well prepared and very tasty, comes to you hot as you'd want. Service is very good, with just the right amount of "check-in" by the waiter. We asked for more water and it came promptly. Several dishes include seafood, but not your typical spaghetti and meatballs. My friend got squid ink pasta, which was a treat. I got the risotta pasta with shrimp. The restaurant is noisy, so conversations are a bit difficult. Otherwise, I highly recommend this restaurant.

The success of a restaurant is based on the quality of the food and North Italia succeeded. The staff is exceptional from the friendly greeting at the front door by the hostess to the service staff, made for a wonderful evening.
