Great night out on a Mon. Unexpected participation in trivia that was really fun. The fire, that’s been going for decades on cool evenings, was lovely. Friendly staff & food was good - the crispy skin salmon a stand out.

Online booking process quick and easy. Process to order directly at the bar and bistro is really good for a group to take care of their own meals and drinks. Food came out timely. Food was delicious and always a good serve for the money. Table clearing wasn't intrusive. Only negative was that I would have liked the open fire to be roaring on a cold winters day.

The staff were great, super friendly and helpful. Our food on the other hand was not great. First the pizza was not available and this was not advised when we made the booking. The swordfish taco wraps were not very fresh, we also ordered the calamari which was undercooked, we sent it back and asked for it to be recooked, but it still tasted like flour on the second attempt. The Wagu burger was ok as was the steak sandwich. It was really disappointing as we had heard such great reviews. Unfortunately won't be coming back for a meal, the ambience is great and we would return for drinks in the beer garden when that opens again.

Great, friendly and helpful staff. Food was really tasty Had good gin and tonic 👍 and wines Shame the rain came but out of their control 😊

Beautiful food, great atmosphere, lovely venue, just wish you didn’t have to go to the public bar to have a normal beer.

Always enjoy it / friendly helpful staff and love the general ambience of the place - albeit a little quieter than normal as expected

No menus were handed out to start with and there was no service at all. Food was not available that we chose so had to get something else. 2 main meals were cold, and everything took ages to come out and since we had a time limit on the table we were rushed to eat in the end. Overall meals were average and overpriced for what they were. Would not go back.

You have a beautiful staff member there called Tracey who makes such a fuss and gives a wonderful greeting yo my son who is a Downs Syndrome. Clint has been going there for 20 years. She deserves a mention. Margot
