Chef owner Marco Fregonese’s innovative take on classical, regional cooking begins with the finest, artisan ingredients and freshest, seasonal products. The food is top notch and the staff there all make us feel like family. We will be going to Novita for many years to come! The best Veal Parm around as well.

Our second time here and we brought friends this time. We had a great meal and everything and one of the staff was welcoming and the service was great. Definitely plan on a return to this restaurant.

It is disappointing to write negatively of a restaurant that has for over a decade been a neighborhood favorite. I regret to say that my last two meals there have been veery disappointing. Both the food quality and service have declined significantly, and the presentation has also been noticeably indifferent. I cannot be certain but it would seem that the kitchen staff is changed. The selection of fresh seafood, meats and vegetables is no longer dependable; the preparation is careless. The wait staff has dwindled down to a single person who both serves and busses tables. His appearance and knowledge is inadequate for a restaurant of this supposed standing. The maitre 'd seems to have lost interest in the clientele and the atmosphere of the restaurant. I think I will give it one more try and hope that my critique was ill-founded.

One of the best neighborhood restaurants! Pasta is freshly homemade and they accommodate any food preferences. Service was outstanding.

Food is exceptional time after time that I go to Novitá. This time of season go with the white truffles pasta ! A no-brainer. Ask Alessandro for a wine recommendation and if at all possible, sit in a table were Alessandro will be the one responsible of taking care of your experience. Over all, a classic and a super experience when in New York that keeps its high standards year after year!

Dirty dishes from previous courses left on the table for the entire meal. Food was very good. Service was not. For the price had much better experiences.

The fried squash blossoms were unbelievable, so make sure you ask what’s good on the specials. Ask for the Ragu sauce, it is in a class all by itself, making the pasta dishes stand out. They have wonderful wines by the glass if you don’t want one of the great bottles on the well chosen list.

It was my partners birthday so we wanted to go to dinner at Novita because it has special memories over the years. W e are never disappointed. The food is consistently good and the staff so professional My partner had the truffle pasta a favorite of his. And I had the lobster pasta. Both were exceptional The staff brought a birthday surprise dessert a light cheesecake with strawberries. A great end to a perfect meal
