The overall ambience and view of the restaurant for high tea is outstanding—looking over the city is magical. The service provided was uneven and the actual ordering process for tea was confusing and it was difficult to figure out who was taking care of us. We called ahead the day before to make sure they could accommodate my gluten allergy, which they did but the amount of food was less than the rest of my party for the same price. The tidbit (tea snack display) was organized incorrectly with tea sandwiches on the top and dessert on the bottom—a small thing, but a restaurant of this caliber should display tea correctly. We were given soup spoons rather than teaspoons with our tea, and we had to request them as they weren’t preset with the cup and saucer. The actual quality of the food and beverage was, again, uneven. The festive season was not reflected in the presentation, which seems like an oversight. The butternut squash tart was subpar compared to the roe cone and the sandwich bread on my friend’s plate was stale. The jam did not pair with either scone and there was not enough clotted cream in proportion to the amount of scones. The tea pots were generous but the tea was lukewarm when you got to the last third. A pot of hot water that could be refreshed and a tea strainer with tea across the tea cup to keep the tea from over steeping and hot would be preferable. These are all small things, but they really affect the experience and at this price point everything should be pretty flawless. The caviar bump experience was delightful and we had a good time, however everything should have been elevated to match the caliber of the restaurant.

We were very disappointed with our visit. Despite booking a table and being told it was ready, we had to stand in a busy thoroughfare and wait for 30mins before we were seated. Once we finally got to our table, we were ignored and forgotten about until we finally asked for service. The waiter admitted he had forgotten about us but did very little to make up for his mistake. Overall a very disappointing experience. We will not be back!

Food was stale, service was slow, valet was $100, tea and view were excellent. Not impressed for the Ritz or the value.

The staff were superb. The view was amazing. The food was unique, yet could gad more taste. The grill cheese was fabulous and specialty drinks terrific.

Love this venue for the wow factor. Amazing views in a gorgeous setting. The cocktails are great but it’s an expensive drink. Worth it for the experience.

Overall the place looks amazing. The tea sandwiches and sweets were delicious. We waited an hour for our food to arrive. The kids were starving by the time it arrived. I think they need to be more organized as they know exactly how many people are reserved. It just made the experience less special! I do this holiday tea every year with my kids and grandkids and this is far the longest time we have waited.

For $130 I don’t feel that the high tea experience is where it should be especially in regards to the service and staff. Most of the food bites were great however it took over 40 minutes to get tea to our table, they were late and seating us for our reservation that we were early for, and the server staff could really use a lesson in speaking to customers as well as how to communicate professionally and not in front of customers.
