Welcome to O Mandarin Restaurant in Hicksville Long Island New York.
O Mandarin Hicksville is our sister restaurant from Award winning restaurant O Mandarin in Westchester county.
We serve authentic Mandarin Chinese cuisine and our executive chef and owner is two time " Best Chef -New York State" Semi-Finalist from James Beard Foundation. O Mandarin has also been selected by Michelin Guide by year 2021. The first ever Michelin guided Chinese restaurant by suburb of New York City.
At O Mandarin, our philosophy is to serve the best ingredients with tradition Chinese cooking style and serving in a culture influenced ambience. I was dying for Chinese food so I came here with my family and when they told me they didn’t have eggrolls because they were an authentic Chinese restaurant, I got worried that maybe I only like Americanized Chinese food and I wouldn’t like O Mandarin. I was sooo wrong! The food was amazing! It tasted a bit different from American Chinese restaurants but in a great way. We got the sesame chicken, chicken with broccoli, Mongolian beef, fried rice, chao mein, wonton soup, spring rolls and spare ribs. The spring rolls and spare ribs were not our favorite - they were ok but we’ll probably skip appetizers next time we come here. The main meal was AMAZING though. It’s also worth noting that the meals are shareable. It was only 4 of us and we each got our own entree but it was way too much food. The prices are reasonable when you consider how big the portions are. The service was great as well. We will definitely be back!

The food was served very slowly. The soup dumplings were overcooked。 The service was very good.

Went on Christmas Day and was pleasantly surprised we only heard good things and the food and service did not disappoint. We will be back again

Got chicken lettuce wraps, potstickers and garlic wings which were all delicious! We had to get a second order of the garlic wings, exceptional! For Entrees we got General Tsao, garlic pepper shrimp, Mongolian Beef (very heavy on the onions) and veggie fried rice, all the food was so good!

We took a chance and booked dinner based on reviews. This is one of those instances where the food, service and ambiance exceeded all of our expectations. I must admit that we were spoiled for so many years with our Cantonese go to, but now we will be sharing that love with O Mandarin.

Nice variety of unusual dishes. Excellent duck. Dumplings were only ok. Soup dumplings were best. Plenty of staff who brought food out promptly .

My second time there. Excellent authentic food with great flavor. Good service and a very nice variety of dishes. The staff is eager to please and accommodating. We enjoyed the hot and sour as well as wonton soup. The ribs were different than what we are used to in a Chinese restaurant. Small but very tasty. A little too much sauce. The dumplings -excellent. Mongolian beef, sesame chicken and a pepper shrimp dish - all very good. My favorite was the egg plant perfectly cooked, delicious!! A must try.

Fish tanks overstuffed with dead fish laying on there sides, very bizarre. Lobster tank was not much different.
