From the OpenTable editors: Chef-and-somm brothers Oliver and Nicolas Poilevey's parents opened Chicago's beloved Le Bouchon, so there was already a ton of buzz when the brothers debuted Obélix in 2022. With black-and-white floors, burgundy banquettes, and a name borrowed from the beloved Gallic comic books, the vibe here is definitely more fun than fussy.     First time here and this place was fantastic. We came here for our anniversary and they made it super special for us, with great service. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and the soufflé is a must try.

    Loved our lunch at Obélix! It’s becoming our favorite place in the city. Our waitress Amanda was great. You have to try the pomelo croissant, one of the best thing I’ve ever eaten. And merguez sausage (just like the ones in France). We will definitely be back!

    Went for brunch for the first time and it was delicious. Pastries are the best! Loved the bread, mango & matcha bostock, and foie gras & pancakes.

    Absolutely loved this evening! The staff were friendly, and their service impeccable. The food was outstanding and we loved every dish we ordered - macarons, steak tartare, salad and more. Delicious!

    I am a frequent dinner guest as Obelix. Lunch was just as stellar. Our server was flawless( i apologize, but I can’t recall her name). The food was great and my guest was suitably impressed. Thank you, Cody
