   Ocean Grill is a MUST when visiting Puerto Vallarta. Such a fun, unique adventure eating an incredible lunch in a tree house restaurant!! Don’t miss this awesome experience. Fresh catch of the day was excellent !!!

   I don't know where to begin. So how about how we got there. Many diners boat in from Boca de Tomatlan or even from Puerto Vallarta. We took a city bus from Zona Romantica to Boca, a fun ride along the south shore that cost 10 (!!) pesos apiece. From Boca, where the road turns inland, we crossed a footbridge and hiked along the shore. Much of the hike is easy; there are places, though, where there are big, awkward steps up or down. Running shoes aren't necessary but probably a good idea. At any rate, you end up at Playa Colomitos, a cute bay where the restaurant sits atop the ocean. The meal is fantastic; we ate a lot, everything is amazing, no need to describe everything but the menu online is awesome top to bottom. After a very relaxing lunch (there are seatings at 11, 1 and 3 ... we had the 1 pm, which appears to be the busiest) we started hiking again, going further along the shore for another hour or so to Playa las Animas. In all, I think we were on five beaches on this incredible trek. We would return to Ocean Grill in a second. Unique and magnificent!

    Staying in PV, I had read about this restaurant on a blog. Thought we would give it a shot with our group of eight. We took the bus down to Boca de Tomatlán and enjoyed seeing other parts of Mexico, we have not yet. Directions to starting point and finding the water taxi made it very easy. Once we arrived, we were taken upstairs to an open air restaurant. Nestled in a beautiful little cove, there were people all around having fun, lots of boats and water activities going on. Alejandro our server was very kind and attentive. He brought our drinks right away, answered our questions and made recommendations. The restaurant was not overcrowded, so we felt like we were having a private dining experience. The food was fantastic, not one of us had a complaint. We decided to take a water taxi back to our hotel, and Alejandro set that up for us. The boat captain , Cumo,  picked us up on the dock at the restaurant and stopped at several different places to explain what they were and show us something different. We got more than a “taxi” ride. It was like having a tour all the way back. Awesome!  We will definitely come back next time in PV. Thank you.
