Founder Kengo has been supplying the highest quality meat to restaurants throughout the US for many years. With a passion for meat and a professional eye, Kengo has partnered with numerous carefully selected ranches. His goal was to increase people’s smiles by offering the best meat possible. At The Steak Library, you can enjoy the highest quality Japanese beef, carefully selected Black Angus beef, and Australian beef chosen by the discerning eye of a meat dealer. The restaurant’s interior is a modern space full of luxury, perfect for special occasions or dates. The chef is a meat specialist who charms customers with cooking techniques that bring out the maximum flavor of the meat. In addition, the staff strives to provide the best hospitality to customers and make their time comfortable. Service was terrible from start to finish. Even With reservations and arriving on time does not matter the seatings horrible and very limited. Waiting for service for drinks over 20min another hr for ordering food. Very disappointing for our first time.

One of the best Valentine's Day steak dinner! We started with the marinated octopus and tomato as the appetizer, followed by a main course of an 8 oz. Filet Mignon for each of us cooked to perfection covered with fresh shaved truffles, sides of creamed spinach and truffled mashed potatoes. This restaurant located in a strip mall in Lomita is a gem of a place! Service is very attentive, cozy atmosphere. They do not have a full bar, only wine, beer, and sake. Although it is a bit pricey, they have a much better quality overall than some of the other high end steak houses. They for sure are much better than Flemings which I feel has gone down hill in my many years of eating there. This will become my favorite steak house from now on! It is conveniently located with a great menu!

Another great experience at The Steak Library. This time it was an improvement from our last visit, if you believe that greatness can be improved; and I do. Thanks again and looking forward to our next visit.

Definitely a special steak restaurant in the South Bay. However if you are looking for Food Heaven, with a really comprehensive menu tilted towards huge plates of meat beautifully served and they have a wide variety of Wagyu beef, and you can even specify how you want the meat cooked. The menu also had a wide selection of fresh seafood, and I also enjoyed the Cotton Candy Wagyu beef. with knowledgeable waiters who are there to help you enjoy the meal, then this is the place.

Our experience was a great one. We went for our anniversary as we recently moved nearby. We were greeted and taken to a special table for us. The food was pretty amazing. The Ceasar salad done from scratch was delicious and our steaks cooked perfectly. I am definitely coming back.

This was one of the best steak meals I have ever had. The steak was expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The onion sauce was exquisite! The lobster bisque and seafood chowder were great. Both were very fresh with generous portions of seafood. The service was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can’t wait to go back.

Nice upscale dining with great steak options. The service was great from the host, bartender and servers. My wife had the 8oz Filet, and I had the 12oz New York. Mine was good, but my wife's filet was better. Had the mushrooms and mash potatoes for our sides and they were good. Mushrooms were a bit salty though. But overall a great first visit. Will definitely return and try the Wagyu cuts next time.

We had a great experience at steak library for our 16th anniversary. We appreciate the intimate ambiance, professionalism of the servers, and great quality of the food.

I had a wonderful experience. First time going to this place. The food was amazing and delicious. Very flavorful with some unique options. The service was great and attentive and the ambience was relaxing and pleasant.

Interesting new place, still trying to get some kinks out of operations. This is a Japanese steak house specializing in Japanese beef and cooking styles, it is not an American steak house. Food is good, but since it’s all imported from Japan very expensive.
