Open for over 20 years, Oishii Owner & Executive Chef Thanh Nguyen serves some of the most creative comfort sashimi, sushi, and specialty rolls (including many rice-less and gluten-free options) in Dallas. We have an extensive Pan-Asian menu that has classic Vietnamese dishes such as shaken beef tenderloin, fried whole snapper, and incredible pho, and Chinese favorites like peking duck and sea-salt style combination seafood.
The beverage menu to include over 20 wines by the glass and a constantly rotating selection of the best 100 wines he can procure. We offer 16 sakes by the glass and offer a full bar specializing in Japanese whiskeys, single malt scotches, and seasonal hand crafted cocktails.

This place is always busy and seems to be super popular. Honestly, it was only ok. The service was not great (maybe they are understaffed?) but it kind of put a damper on our evening. The restaurant seems to do a lot of take-out as well, which looks to be overloading the kitchen and staff. Those of us dining in suffer a bit. I wish restaurants would make a decision - are you going to be an upscale dining room or are you going to be a take-out restaurant? Our food took a while, orders were forgotten, etc. Server never came over to check on us after food was delivered and we had to flag down people for more drinks. No big deal, it was busy and stuff happens. The food runner would drop off plates of sushi and never identify the items (we ordered several different rolls) he would just drop it on the table and say “uh this looks like it might be yellowtail”. For the price, I’d really like to know. We also ordered a pad Thai which was devoid of a single peanut, herb or lime. Just a orangey mass of noodles. The softshell crab was coated in a too-thick batter that just tasted like “fried”. The four rolls we ordered were bland and lacking in flavor, and despite the fact that they were all very different on the menu, kind of tasted the same. I ordered a straight up cucumber vodka martini and it was made with lime and sugar syrup. Why?! I don’t know… I wanted to love this place, but it was only ok. Maybe a second visit will prove better.

Always a great experience eating here. Have never had a bad dish. The Sushi is excellent; and the other lunch menu items are also just as good. We were seated right on time for our reservation.....and service was excellent, as usual.
