Amazing experience as always. This is the second time that we celebrated my sister’s birthday and the staff always makes it so memorable. We love coming here. If you want high quality with great a great experience and service, this is your place.

We’ve been back to Okaeri several times now and the food and service is always outstanding. This time we had dinner with our friends who just had a baby and the newborn came with us. The staff at Okaeri made every effort to make sure we were comfortable with the baby. We normally like to do the omakase set but decided to pick our own nigiri’s this time. every piece of fish was fresh and tasty, and had garnish that went really well with them. highlights were the ocean trout belly, engawa, hokkaido uni, snow crab, amaebi, and negi toro handroll. the handroll is a must get for me! for appetizers, we really liked the oyster skewers, chicken karage, and ankimo.

Amazing food and service. Great price for an omakase! The add-ons are a must try though. The Signature Toast, Crystal Uni and Scallop Skewer are awesome!

We live in the neighborhood and Okaeri has become a go-to for sushi. Last night the fish didn’t all taste as fresh as usual, and our server was off. Speaking very quietly, and really fast, she was hard to understand. And 3 different starters we requested were not available. Very awkward as for each item we heard “I’m very sorry, we don’t have that tonight.” That happened 3 times. Should be explained up front.

sleeper HIT!!! Incredible sushi even for SF standard and great prices given the quality. Super attentive service and really sweet staff. will be returning! also flexible with changing my res time on a friday night.

I am very disappointed with the food. The sushi rice is not well cooked, and the shrimp was not cleaned properly. Additionally, the food does not taste fresh. It's unfortunate because the service and location are great, but I don’t consider this a Japanese restaurant. Will not come here again
