Welcome to Okeya Kyujiro

Our Omakase Experience is a chef’s choice menu consisting of seasonal ingredients mainly sourced from Japan. It includes approximately 25 courses with mostly sushi.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
Please let us know before taking a reservation any allergies or food restrictions to know if we can possibly accommodate your needs.
We do not accept outsiders food or alcohol in our establishment.
We do not have a kid’s menu.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservation must be cancelled 48 hours in advance. Failure to cancel by this time will result in a cancellation fee.
Parties of 5+ full will be required to pay the full price in advance plus 18% service fee.
A valid credit card is required to make the reservation.

From the OpenTable editors: Chef Takuya Matsuda draws inspiration from Cirque du Soleil for his "theatrical omakase experience." The 20-course menu features some of the world’s freshest seafood, much of which is presented as single bites of traditional edomae sushi.     Omakase exceptionnel. Morue noire au miso parfaitement réussie. Le saké était merveilleux mais un menu pour la boisson devrait être disponible. Mon conjoint et moi y retournerons sans faute. Longue vie à ce bijou japonais !

    It’s amazing to find such a high standard, authentic omakase outside of Japan in Montreal. There is a great variety of different fishes served and they are very fresh, the rice is seasoned very well on the sushi, different dishes showcase different skills and mastery of the art. It was also great that the chefs showed us what the actual fish/crab/fruit look like before they served the dish, appreciate that some fish are less commonly known. Service was superb, to serve 12 guests one by one with impeccable timing is not easy. I could tell that the chefs observed that the guests had finished their previous piece before serving the next so we don’t feel rushed to eat the next piece. Highly recommend if you want to experience an authentic omakase.

    In my opinion, one of the best culinary experience in Montreal. Authentic, and very ceremonial, Japanese food in a omakase setting. 12-14 seats, 300$ per person fixed menu. 20+ courses. Everything is incredibly well executed. I love the attention to detail in every dish, plates, cups, etc… all in all I believe this is a must try!

    WoW, le spectacle que nous avons vécu hier soir est une introduction magistrale à la culture japonaise, de l'atmosphère, l'attention, la mise en scène, les saveurs et les arômes qui vous submergent à chaque bouchée orchestrée par son directeur comme s'il composait une symphonie où se mêlent la subtilité, la fraîcheur et le soin des artisans qui exaltent la matière au lieu de la cacher dans des condiments inutiles, une véritable ode à l'extraordinaire pouvoir du simple et du naturel. Merci à toute l'équipe et à ceux qui veulent vivre une expérience inoubliable, venez la vivre. Le jeu de flûte pour ceux qui fêtaient leur anniversaire était émouvant.

    The Spectacle at Okeya Kyujiro was everything and more than what i expected. i have enk joyed Omakase a number of times and this expernce was great. Watching the Chefs work like a finely tuned musical instrument was fascinating. the food presentations were beyond description. the quality and floavor magical. thank you ....for a memorable night

    Excellent experience. Courteous greeting, beautiful arrangements and service. The chefs were always attentive to their workmanship, but still kept an ear out for the customers’ comments and directed the staff accordingly. Pricey for sure, but definitely an experience to have at least once.
