Founded by sibling duo Chef Philip Pretty and Lauren Pretty, Olive & Rose is a culinary destination born from their shared passion for exceptional food and genuine hospitality. We'v reimagined the dining experience as a neo-bistro, where classic French techniques with a twist meet vibrant flavors that are unmistakably Californian. Each dish tells a story of flavor, texture, and creativity—a reflection of Chef Philip Pretty’s entire culinary career.
From sourcing local, seasonal ingredients to minimizing food waste and reducing our environmental footprint, we’re proud to continue the sustainable dining legacy of our sister restaurant, Heritage, by incorporating green certified and green Michelin star practices into our operations.

Our dining area is a covered patio, please dress accordingly.

One heck of a neighborhood gem only the food transcends the area. Olive and Rose is a wonderful addition to the Heritage. Sublime food at very reasonable prices. If this is not enough try their local and bagels.👍👍👍👍👍👍

The food was amazing. I enjoyed the drinks also. We sat outside and waited for our table with a cocktail which was nice. The steak tartar was very good and so was the lonster.

The BEST modern bistro, period. The new lobster two way dishes are amazing. The claw meat in a beautifully tangy Champagne vinegar dressing plus the tail meat in its own creamy bisque. It’s truly genius to showcase the classic French techniques with a thoroughly modern flair. Thank you the entire kitchen and service teams!

One of the best meals I’ve had in Long Beach! The atmosphere was modern and intimate, yet unpretentious. The food and service were exceptional and I would recommend every dish we ordered. We had the bread service, steak tartare, octopus, chicken, rib cap with frites, and apple tart tatin. Every dish was elevated and had a unique element that brought something creative and delish.

Olive & Rose is incredible venue and dinning experience. The restaurant layout is fun plus welcoming amidst a comfortable ambiance and decor. Stellar counter top overview seating and standard tables are offered. There’s a wonderful array of unique various cocktails, wines, top notch spirit, beer and truly something for everyone. The entire team is kind, passionate and extremely knowledgeable. It’s an overall gem with pleasant service and style. The food menu has all the comforts you’d want and more, the kitchen staff drives the culinary experience at an elevated level. Really a dialed array of food options. Wanted to try this place out for awhile. Came here for a date night and was expecting a more intimate dinner experience, it was super noisy inside so I wouldn’t suggest coming if you’re looking for something else. The hotel is nice and the staff are great. The food was good although I had higher expectations. For this place to be a fine dining course restaurant I feel that they could put a little more effort with the recipes of the food as it wasn’t something I would come back for again, overall 7/10

10/10 experience! Amazing food amplified by warm and thoughtful service and the cozy unfussy ambiance. The price points also feel very reasonable (low even, if we’re being honest) for the quality
