   One of the best meals I’ve had in Long Beach! The atmosphere was modern and intimate, yet unpretentious. The food and service were exceptional and I would recommend every dish we ordered. We had the bread service, steak tartare, octopus, chicken, rib cap with frites, and apple tart tatin. Every dish was elevated and had a unique element that brought something creative and delish.

   Olive & Rose is incredible venue and dinning experience. The restaurant layout is fun plus welcoming amidst a comfortable ambiance and decor. Stellar counter top overview seating and standard tables are offered. There’s a wonderful array of unique various cocktails, wines, top notch spirit, beer and truly something for everyone. The entire team is kind, passionate and extremely knowledgeable. It’s an overall gem with pleasant service and style. The food menu has all the comforts you’d want and more, the kitchen staff drives the culinary experience at an elevated level. Really a dialed array of food options.    10/10 experience! Amazing food amplified by warm and thoughtful service and the cozy unfussy ambiance. The price points also feel very reasonable (low even, if we’re being honest) for the quality

   Amazing new restaurant in LB. Although the menu may be tiny, it definitely packs a punch. Everything we tried was delicious and unique. Endive salad, amber jack crudo, beef tartare, bass, and rib cap were all amazing. Most items had additional ingredients that were not listed on the menu, but they all made for very pleasant surprises. They made sure to ask about allergies so I knew there would be no unpleasant surprises! Service was great, from the hostess, to bar crew, to our primary waiter. The restaurant is much smaller than I expected; about 10 tables plus the bar. There is no room inside to wait, but they take you to an area outside in the hotel courtyard which has heat lamps and you can order from the outside bar window to have drinks and even small plates while you wait. I will be keeping my eye on the menu online so I can return when new dishes are added; though I would be happy eating what I already had again!

   2nd visit. This time sitting at the kitchen counter watching the chefs doing all the magic. The pork chop is truly amazing with the grilled lettuce and the white bean sauce. The chop was sliced and beautifully arranged on the plate and so flavorful. The brining/curing process rendered a very unique flavor and I love the slight char. Well done! The au poivre sauce accompanying the rib cap has a sensational, creamy texture. The thick cut fries so fluffy, unlike any fries I ever had before. Now they have the liquor license you can enjoy the wines/cocktails with your meal. Well crafted small list. Service is attentive and personal. Chatting with the young chefs in the kitchen who prepare your food is a great experience. A great team!

   The food and service was excellent. But it was way too loud they should put in.  crown molding that absorbs sound. Was very loud. We often couldn’t hear each other talking across the table. The staff was very friendly and it was a great meal.

   Great food, fabulous drinks, very cool vibe and terrific service. It’s in a retro updated motel turned apartment building called City Center and does not have big sign (it’s painted on a glass door). Just no valet so allow time to find a spot on the street😉
