Best sushi experience. I feel safe knowing they’re strict on their Covid policies. The fish is fresh. Best sushi in miami. This staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

What can I say? I went with my wife Friday night around 8 pm. First sign of a great restaurant? Place was packed, togo bags were flowing out the door, and people waiting outside to get in. Hostess sat us at our table which was nicely cleaned and clearly sanitized. Staff wore masks and gloves and seemed very well trained to deal with the new covid regulations. Their sake and wine list were very complete so we couldn’t resist and ended up getting some nice daiginjo sake for the start of our meal and milder flavors and then a very nice Gruner Veltliner wine for the rest of the courses. For food we tried the Omakai Experience and lobster handrolls. The so-called “experience” was truly an experience. Absolutely loved the fish quality, saucing, plating, and flavors. It blew our minds that such a complete omakase costs $72. We’ve gotten the same at higher end places for $150-200 each... ended the meal with mochi and jasmine tea, absolutely perfect! Definitely a 5-star establishment and will be back soon and often.

Amazing experience. The sushi is so fresh and every single piece we had was incredible. Will definitely come back soon and recommend to friends. Great service and explanation of every plate by our server. Made reservation same day with no problem.

Food and presentation was good, basically a Sugarfish knock off but sushi quality needs to be elevated to compare to Sugarfish. Nothing about the experience was negative just would prefer high grade sushi

Food was amazing! Try the Omakai Experience! It is a no brainer. Loved the ambience and the service was algo very good. Ask for the table in the corner in front of the bar 😉

We went to Omakai for the first time on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. Actually we were very pleased. We will definitely go back and recommend it in turn. The restaurant had reopened just a week or so before, so the menu was limited but excellent. Quality was outstanding. But it was largely variations on the same theme. I'm sure this will change when the place gets really going again. Service was very attentive and pleasant. We wish them a lot of success ahead as it's one of the best Japanese restaurants in Miami - at very acceptable prices.

Top sushi/nigiri in MIA. On the same level or higher than Zuma, Nobu & Novikov. Super fresh & traditional w/daily offerings from around the world. Super knowledgeable & friendly staff.

Well first of all, although we made reservations on open table, when we got to the restaurant we had to wait over 30 mins. They said reservations had to be made at least 2 hours ahead of time which made no sense since we were able to make it on the app. Don’t know if this was the open table app fault or restaurant, either way it was annoying. Once we sat we got the Omakai experience. It wasn’t bad but not the best. Sushi quality was just Ok. You do get a lot of food for the amount which was good but I wouldn’t go raving about the fish. I’ve had better. Servers were nice. Music and ambiance was kind of loud.
