   Birthday Dinner and the social media pick didn’t fail us. I will say this it got us in to try out the venue however as a new up and coming spot they are still working through the beginning of a new restaurant. Labeled as Mexican, however I would have called it southwestern feel. Food was delicious and had some really good flairs on flavor especially in the sauces brought out with the tomahawk steak. I look forward to the improvements as they work out the new restaurant jitters. Now something they really need to do is lower the music by at least two because it was hard to hear the servers and really felt like our dinner table talk was at a higher octave than it should have been. Craft cocktails where on point however the mocktails should not cost the same as a full drinks. The wife was very upset about this when everything was already Al a Carte. In the long run I think they have a real shot to be a go to in the area. Today they get 3.5/5

   Made a reservation via their website for 2 & had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday (my wife's). Food was really good with generous portions. Presentation of their food was excellent. Service needs a lot of improvement. We really didn't know who our server was the entire time we were there. At first, a male server provided us with water & took our orders for the drinks & appetizer. Afterwards, I was just calling the attention of any server that would walk by since nobody really came to introduce himself/ herself as our server. After finishing our appetizer, nobody came by to take our orders for the main course. All of the menus provided were just left on the table. The huge wine glasses were also left on the table which was of no use for us since we didn't order wine. Had to remind them that we were there for a birthday celebration & was then served a complimentary birthday flan w/ a candle. Table wasn't cleared when they brought the flan & was just placed at the edge of the table. Had read many reviews on Yelp about their complimentary chips & dip that they provide but had to ask for it since we really didn't have a particular server that would serve it to us. I really hope that they would try to improve on their service since the food was really worth coming back for.

   Great food and atmosphere. Squid tomahawk and mushrooms were delicious. Good size portions. Drinks were delicious as well. Hostesses not very friendly or communicative. But servers were amazing.

   Origen is a very upscale restaurant that offers tons of choices, including ribeye, tenderloin, short ribs, and a tomahawk steak. Overall, the service was great and the food was excellent. The only downside was that the hostess sat me in a corner right next to the serving table with a poor view. It was the worst table in the restaurant. This happens to me a lot when I go out to a restaurant. I asked her if the restaurant was going to be packed and she disingenuously replied “yes” even though the restaurant was empty and I was the first person to arrive. A few moments later, I asked the waiter if I could move to another table and he agreed. Unfortunately, this happens because hostess suspect that a single person of color won’t tip well and they put them in the worst seat in the house. Hopefully, the restaurant will not to do that. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant. The waiter was excellent, friendly, and provided great service.

   Not great. Took thirty minutes to get our cocktails. Waiter didn’t review the menu. Mashed potatoes were the consistency of baby food. Portion sizes were way too small. This place has a long way to go.

   Everything was amaizing and our server was the best!!! Food is incredible but even with a reservation they made us wait more than 10 minutes to be seated and the restaurant was almost empty, there were only 2 other tables when we arrived.

   Great food, cool joint. Service was good. Very friendly and professional. Need to just get drinks out fast, before the food comes. Also need to clear empty plates and glasses, and refill water.
