   Great place for special occasions! Food is always amazing but definitely pricey. We loved the porter house, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese.

   Over priced for the area and experience. Extremely trendy. Slow service and not very friendly. Extremely awkward encounter with hostess and waitperson. Food was pretty good but won’t be going back.

   An unforgettable experience! The team took some of my most cherished childhood dishes and elevated them to incredible new heights. Every bite was a journey of flavors – from the perfectly grilled Brie cheese to the mouthwatering barbacoa and picanha steak tacos. Simply outstanding!    We love going here and have been to Origen multiple times now. The steaks (we usually order the ribeye) have been great. Our go-to side dish is the chipotle mushrooms, baked in a cream sauce with cripsy gouda on top -- have mercy, sooo good! Thie feel is not a run of the mill shorts-and-tshirt Mexican restaurant, but rather an upscale steakhouse, so the prices are on the higher end. However the portions are generous and unless we're just starving, we generally find splitting an entree and side is perfect for us, especially after the bean dip, tostadas and salsa. (More room for the tasty cocktails!) Fridays and Saturdays feature live music with an acoustic trio playing classic Mexican pop/rock hits. My wife is from Sonora, so that tends to be icing on the cake! We usually stay until they finish at 10:30pm -- a lot of fun!

   Table of 4: dinner with friends. The music was so LOUD, it was hard to have a conversation. Wish we were asked if we had a preference of inside or outside seating. I would have picked the patio. Food was good but my husband’s plate was brought late so we had to wait an extra 6-7 minutes Somewhat overpriced on a few menu items but everything tasted good. I think we will give it another try at some point.

   The server was great however, the Bar and the kitchen were very slow to deliver. She definitely made up her that. The food was OK but a little bit overpriced. Definitely will try it again, but maybe wait a few months.
