   Table of 4: dinner with friends. The music was so LOUD, it was hard to have a conversation. Wish we were asked if we had a preference of inside or outside seating. I would have picked the patio. Food was good but my husband’s plate was brought late so we had to wait an extra 6-7 minutes Somewhat overpriced on a few menu items but everything tasted good. I think we will give it another try at some point.

   The server was great however, the Bar and the kitchen were very slow to deliver. She definitely made up her that. The food was OK but a little bit overpriced. Definitely will try it again, but maybe wait a few months.

   I do not generally leave reviews but, I felt compelled to leave this true and honest one. For a $70 prime steak and ala carte items the wait staff should be able to guide you through your meal, not just read the menu to you section by section. I say this because there are some main entree selections to be enjoyed individually and some to be enjoyed as a group. I feel this dining experience could be greatly improved by an experienced prime dining wait staff. As the menu is laid out and staff that’s currently employed, the pricing should be 2/3’s what currently is. Many items, while good, had a similar taste. The octopus was delicious but, there were too many sour and greasy potatoes to allow it to shine. The prime ribeye was undercooked, thinner than expected and sat very alone across a mushy pile of onions an a singular shishito pepper. While the menu is good, it not command a prime dining experience. I will go back because the food was good and a singular so-so experience shouldn’t be the final straw. Thank you.

   I had the pleasure of visiting Origen Gilbert, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the warm and friendly service from the waitstaff made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and the way they made us feel welcome really stood out. What makes Origen Gilbert even more special is the live music on weekends. The atmosphere is so pleasant and relaxed, creating the perfect setting to enjoy the evening. The music perfectly complements the experience, not overpowering, allowing for great conversation while enjoying your meal. And as for the food... simply delicious! Each dish is prepared with a combination of flavors that surprise and delight. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and the presentation is flawless. It’s a unique dining experience that you can’t find anywhere else. Without a doubt, Origen Gilbert offers a complete experience that goes beyond just a meal—it's a perfect blend of service, ambiance, and flavor that makes every visit memorable.    We absolutely loved the entire experience here. Service was excellent, food and drinks were very prompt, our reservation was exactly when we reserved. It was perfect. The food itself was some of the best around arizona altogether. Big statements for a newer restaurant, but it's hard to ignore greatness and perfection... well done Origen!

   We had dinner at Origen in Gilbert last night with friends, and while the experience had some highlights, it also had a few inconsistencies. Service was spotty—our server was courteous and upfront about the long wait time for the kitchen, which we appreciated. However, the pacing of the meal felt a bit off at times. As for the food, the octopus appetizer was fresh but leaned on the rubbery side. The ibérico was tough and chewy, which was disappointing given the quality one usually expects from that cut. On the positive side, the picanha taco with bone marrow stole the show at our table—rich, flavorful, and well-executed. For dessert, the molten cake was unexpected; it had a noticeable goat cheese taste, which wasn’t what we anticipated when ordering. We had envisioned something more along the lines of a classic chocolate lava cake. Overall, the menu could benefit from more detailed descriptions to better set expectations. The restaurant has potential, but refining both service flow and dish execution would elevate the experience.

   First off the service was great from our server Chris. The food was just not worth the price. My son got the tomahawk steak and it was a bit overcooked and not worth the $165 price tag. The ambience was nice. Tables were a bit too close together and hard to maneuver through the restaurant. I will not return to Origen.

    We had an incredible dining experience at Origen in Gilbert! From the moment we sat down, our server set the tone—she was fantastic. Super knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some great recommendations that did not disappoint. The octopus was absolutely amazing—tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The steak was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. We also loved the guacamole topped with pork belly (a must-try!) and the mushrooms were out of this world. The house salsas were another standout, especially the dark spicy one—rich, bold, and addictive. To top it off, the wine list and cocktails were excellent, and the ambiance was just right—vibrant but still comfortable. Origen truly delivered on every level. Can’t wait to go back!
