I was there for Valentine’s dinner. The lady server was very nice. We ordered set dinner. The appetizers were great. For main course, I ordered the striploin steak and my boyfriend ordered the sea bass. Mine was a bit chewy but the sauce was good. The sea bass was disappointing. It was chewy and not fresh. When we told another server, he came back and told us there was nothing wrong with the dish. We talked to the lady server and she replaced us with the pasta with extra truffle on top. It was really good. We are very pleased with the service of this lady server.

Awesome meal at Richmond's best fine dining spot. Perfectly prepared French bistro cuisine in a beautiful room with excellent service. Not cheap but not over-priced. Outstanding wine list. Definitely the place to go if you are looking for downtown quality without having to go out of Richmond.

We booked in Origo for Valentine's Night dinner. I was a bit late in making the reservation and were left with the bar-seating. Origo is not a large restaurant (seating capacity of about 40). When we arrived, we were promptly and pleasantly greeted and were seated at the bar. The ambience was a bit too bright for my liking but was told later that because of "Valentine's day", the brightness was turned up to accommodate the requests of patrons who want to take photos. Origo has a good wine selection. We only had a glass of pinot noir since we did not think we will stay long due to the seats at the bar were not the most comfortable seating arrangement. We ordered the Table d'Hote. The food was great and of decent portion (with the exception of sea bass - a bit too small). However, the chocolate cake and the unconventional crème brulee left us full at the end. The service was good. Overall, we had a great evening. We will return to the restaurant - perhaps not seating at the bar - and sample the regular menu at a later date.

I enjoyed a truly special dinner at Origo. The sultry music, refined space, and gracious staff members create an atmosphere of elegance and intimate comfort. As expected of modern French cuisine, it is an expensive restaurant, but the high quality ingredients and expert execution make for an evening of absolute enjoyment in every bite (and sip) - an evening well worth the indulgence for a true foodie, a romantic date night, or a special treat. I enjoyed every single moment of the evening, from the kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff, to every plate (scraped clean, every bite delicious!), and a lovely glass of wine selected with the help of the Sommelier. As hard as it was to choose, my favourites of the night were the beef tartare (the seasoning is perfection, with the salted egg yolk the perfect finishing touch), the confit duck (the flavours of the sausage and white beans paired so well), and the espresso creme brûlée (the lacey brandy snap tuile and condensed milk ice cream make for a lovely presentation, and fun eating experience). The Russian Earl Grey was also a lovely tea to finish with! I highly recommend checking out this restaurant for a delicious evening of indulgence for all your senses. Thank you, Origo team, for a wonderful night!

The host didn't leave a great impression (limited knowledge), however everything outside of that was amazing. Fantastic food and drink.

Excellent dining experience. Limited menu makes for exceptional dishes. If you like French wines this is the place. Let Michel help with your choice.
