   Great spot! Service and food, spot on! The place is small, really small and the music seemed to get louder as dinner progressed. Couldn’t really talk over the Dj but it is a “sound bar” so I enjoyed the vibe, my drinks, and food. Get the pornstar martini and try the hen in the woods!

   The drinks were over priced and didn’t taste good. The pornstar tastes like cough syrup. I didn’t send it back because it took so long and apparently they said they lost the ticket for our drinks so they gave us the drinks for free. It took a long time for our food to come out. The crab egg rolls were different. It was a mushy crab salad wrapped inside a fried spring roll wrap. A weird combination that was not that tasty. The pork belly steam buns were ok. I’ve never had them with watermelon before. The pork belly was thick. The corn fritters were fried balls and really breaded in the middle. The breading was mushy and there was barely any corn. The hen of the woods taco was good though. I could get it again. It was nicely fried. It was the best thing we got. The ambiance was nice. I’m not sure how the DJ was. We didn’t stay long enough for the DJ. It think they said it started at 8:30.

   Fantastic! When you walk in through the giant swinging front door you enter what feels like a NYC high end bar/restaurant. Everything we had was great! Best kept secret in Charlotte!

   The cocktails are good, but are about 2 sips worth of beverage. For being tiny, they took a very long time to get to us. The food is good, but very overpriced even relative to other modern, high-end tapas style restaurants. The waitress at the end of our meal made a passive aggressive comment on my friend’s tip, watching over him as he wrote it down. He tipped a couple dollars / slightly under 20% (it was still a solid tip considering the total bill). The waitress asked him why he didn’t tip a full 20% because apparently she is supposed to confirm if anything was wrong about her service - that’s either a lie, or it’s something that the restaurant does, but certainly should not. If it weren’t for the cool music and atmosphere, I would strongly recommend against going here. If you’re going solely for the culinary experience, and not the nightlife and music, pick a different tapas place.

   The entry door is amazing, makes you feel like you’re entering another dimension! Music is loud but it’s a soundbar so it’s by design. I am lactose intolerant and didn’t realize the menu had a lot of dairy on it. I ordered the salmon on potato croquettes minus the crema so it was a little dry. The duck confit taco was to die for so id go back just for that. For drinks I wanted to have the miso old fashioned but they were out of the ingredients so they made a custom old fashioned just for me.

   The interior layout of this small South End restaurant and lounge is beautiful and cozy. It’s like the silkiest, sleekest basement speakeasy, but without the upper level. The vibe is sexily dim and classy. I’d say it’s even romantic, if that’s what you’re seeking. While you dine on excellent food, you listen to the smooth sounds of the perpetual live DJ. The menu of small plates is cleanly divided into a West side and an East side. This refers to the Western world and the Eastern world, which translates into a Latin tapas side and an Asian tapas side. Highlights from the Latin side include street corn fritters and a smoked chile duck confit taco. Highlights from the Asian side include the delicious cherry blossom sea scallops and the blue crab spring rolls. I ordered the scallops and they were large and perfectly cooked. The vibe and the service are top-notch. Places like this make the Charlotte restaurant and lounge scene as world-class as it is.

   Will be back - wonderful experience, great drinks, gorgeous ambiance. Only feedback is specifically the hostess working at 7pm on Fri Jan 31st - unpleasant and rude but didnt let that ruin it for me!

   Food was okay. Nothing spectacular minus the blue crab spring rolls. Those are amazing! Cocktails were not great.

   I love this spot and have been many times. More of a vibe on a Friday/Saturday for sure but great for a date or girls night!
