Se non amate i posti chiassosi, affollati e “frettolosi” in cui non si riesce nemmeno a scambiare due chiacchiere, non è il posto che fa per voi. Io sono andata attirata dai vari video che avevo visto, prettamente per l’atmosfera natalizia, però la musica era veramente troppo alta, c’era un caos infernale. Nel complesso ho mangiato bene, speso abbastanza.

Christmas Eve amidst decorations galore! First time at Oscar Wilde and hope to return on another visit to NYC! Highly recommend!!

The restaurant was very festive and lively. We very much enjoyed ourselves as it was what we were looking for. The service was excellent! Our waitress expertly handled the high volume of customers. We never waited long for our cocktails and the food was out in a timely manner. The cauliflower appetizer was outstanding. Dinner, meh but overall we had a grand time!!

Had a 2:30 reso and sat at 3:15, got our apps at 4:15…so sp sad. They don’t care your just a number and have 90 minutes to dine as you’re told while being seated. Thats hard when your service is SLOW. Its an An over priced bar with seating and a food menu. The holiday decor is amazing but everything else is downright unacceptable. Pop in for a drink if you can get a seat just don’t waste your time on eating at a table the view is the same at the bar.

I wanted to make sure my family had an incredible Christmas-themed dinner experience while we were in NYC for our holiday vacation, and we were in awe of this place.! During the holidays, you need to make a reservation a month in advance, but it’s so worth it. The restaurant is decorated floor to ceiling, EVERY INCH PACKED, with incredible Christmas decorations! The food and drinks were delicious (get the lobster risotto, OMG!). Be aware… it’s LOUD. The place has a live DJ and the music is very loud. Don’t plan to have conversations at the table. It’s very crowded, standing room only for guests at the bars and around your table. But you don’t really care because it’s fun, beautiful and festive… an absolutely epic Christmas party! I highly recommend and will do it again.!

Im sad we had such awful experience. Maybe I should have researched more. This is no place for a child. I even contacted them to make sure it was okay for a 6 year old. And even booked a 5pm dinner hoping to avoid the bar and heavily drinking atmosphere. It’s a loud and overcrowded bar. Not a restaurant. We Were sat at a high top even though I requested a normal size table for my son. Had made a reservation the moment I was able to. Was hoping they would put us in the back area that wasn’t so crowded but was put at a high top in the middle of two bars. So many people bumped into us after the 2nd time he fell out of the chair we got the bill. Decorations were great. Service was extremely poor. The server was rude in the beginning but when we asked for the bill to leave she clued in how unhappy we were and tried to turn it around. While kids can come this is not child friendly at all. Again. I’ll take ownership with not researching it as much as I should have.
