Inspired by the coastal charm of Forte dei Marmi, Osteria Del Mare brings an authentic Italian seafood experience to Covent Garden. Located on The Strand in Central London, this elegant yet relaxed restaurant is the latest venture from the award-winning Bocconcino Restaurant group, crowned Best Luxury Restaurant at the 2023 British Restaurant Awards.
Led by acclaimed Chef Matteo Massafra, Osteria Del Mare showcases signature dishes like Moscardini in Red Wine Sauce and Paccheri with Red Mullet, alongside a large fresh seafood display, where guests can select from the daily catch. Paired with fine wines and crafted cocktails, each dish highlights the finest ingredients, celebrating Italy’s rich coastal traditions. Start with a shrimp & oyster platter to share and a classic Italian antipasti, followed by a choice of fresh seafood starters. Then, dive into the ultimate lobster indulgence – whether it’s Linguine with Lobster, Lobster Benedict, or half Lobster & Fries. Prefer something different? We’ve got handmade pizza calzone too! Bottomless brunch is available from 12pm to 5pm, with the last booking at 3:30pm. Extras and service charge will be added to the final bill.

Our first visit was so pleasing that we came back with friends Again the food was excellent, the pasta with mullet is simply wonderful. This time I tried the calamari which were equally as good The manager is a wonderful Italian and she makes your evening a real pleasure It was very quiet on the day we went but she says he is busier at the weekend Not to be missed

Was here with a friend an evening and had their theatre menu that was fantastic. We both was that impressed so we book a table for the day after with our wife's. This evening I went for the rockfish soup. The lemon sole was perfectly done, and has just enough taste to don't overwhelm the flavors. This will not be the last time I visit this restaurant.

After searching for food for 9 people proved very difficult without having a reservation on this particular Friday night, until we came across this restaurant on opentable ...the tables were perfectly set. The food was delicious, the house wine was too, the waiters were very polite and professional.

We already loved Bocconcino pizzas in his previous location. Now we want to try in this new restaurant. Italian pizza at its best, plus some specialties like fried seafood and fish carpaccio, burrata cheese is to die for. Good luck guys on your new venture and thank you for the hospitality!

We went there on a lunch. Small place but very busy! The manager gave us her advice and the pizza was great! Very tasty! U can feel the freshness of the ingredients. It seems to be in Italy! Great place and great value.

Living in London we try lots of restaurants. Everyone has a different idea of what a good seafood place should be like. I'd say this is pretty good!The pizza crust is not ultra thin nor is it too heavy, just right! Pretty basic restaurant, nice service, some unusual fish dishes combinations. Definitely worth a visit.
