Osteria Giulia sprung to life in our imaginations as a tribute to Italian traditions of the past.

We wanted to create one simple, beautiful thing. Somewhere outside of your busy life, outside of your surroundings, outside of time. An environment, an experience, an entire evening.

Osteria Giulia is intimate, warm and familiar. We’ve revelled in her every detail. We’ve established a rarified menu focusing on Northern Italian cuisine and delicate coastal, Mediterranean flavour.

Giulia is a new imagining of what an Italian restaurant can be. It always was the place of our dreams, the reason for our collaboration, and the culmination of—and conduit for—our collective passion.

    My husband and I had a wonderful culinary experience during our recent visit while celebrating our anniversary. The food and ambiance were excellent, and we truly appreciated the effort put into the dining experience. However, I was surprised that our anniversary, which I had mentioned in the booking, was not acknowledged during our visit. A small gesture would have made the occasion even more special. Thank you for your attention, and I hope this feedback helps enhance future experiences for other guests.

    Delicious food, and warm atmosphere. We were especially happy with the service. Extremely attentive while not being “in your face”. You really felt like you were taken care of, and in the hands of professionals.

    Overall this was a disappointment. The food was ok, nothing amazing. We returned one dish and were not charged for it. Wine is ridiculously expensive. One of our drinks arrived in a very dirty glass. After we made a note about it, it was replaced. We had bar sitting. It’s a big mistake in the winter as the bar is very close to the door and you freeze every time people go in or out. The coat check and storage is behind you, so people kept bumping into us. The good thing was our waiter who was super nice and professional. Not clear how the restaurant received a Michelin star.

    Surprised my hubby for his b-day by taking him to Osteria Giulia. He said that it was the best meal he had ever experience at the restaurant. Outstanding service! Excellent food! Thank you Osteria Giulia, will be back for sure :-)

    We had a wonderful dinner at Osteria Giulia. The staff were warm and attentive. The atmosphere was perfectly balanced—cozy and inviting, with soft, warm lighting and candles on each table creating an intimate vibe. The clean, minimalist design added a modern and polished touch without feeling overly formal. The food was excellent. We tried the veal carpaccio, seafood pasta, and rack of lamb. The veal was tender and paired beautifully with the fried capers. The seafood pasta was perfectly cooked, and the lamb was flavorful and cooked just right. Osteria Giulia is a place I’d happily return to—it’s a great spot for a memorable meal.

    One of the best dining experiences me and my wife had in Toronto and Canada. They are accommodating of all requests. It does reminds you of Italy and Liguria!

    Service was excellent Noise level was a cacophony of sounds making it exceedingly difficult to hear wait staff and their explanations of various details. This detracts from comfort and the experience Food quality was excellent Execution of food was excellent Bathrooms clean Kitchen was clean Baba dessert was very good, if I have to split hairs, not drenched enough in traditional sugar water and rum, not many would notice such nuance though, unless you ate boatloads of Baba like me 😄 All desserts deserve a positive note in fact. Ingredients are genuine, even the lowly whip cream, made fresh and I don't need to see it being whipped in the kitchen to know what my palate tells me. Splitting hair again, a tad bit too pricey by 15 to 20% for most dishes, value quotient a bit off kilter, but alas, this is Canada after all... Somalier a bit too aloof and unapproachable for our liking, but it doesn't mean he is not good at his job, but it is the Service Industry after all, smile a bit more, life is better with a smile and people will engage more to enhance the mutual experience. Job well done to all the staff.... seems like a good few restaurants in the city need to take note on how it's done right! Definitely will go back. Keep up the great work.
