Osteria Giulia sprung to life in our imaginations as a tribute to Italian traditions of the past.

We wanted to create one simple, beautiful thing. Somewhere outside of your busy life, outside of your surroundings, outside of time. An environment, an experience, an entire evening.

Osteria Giulia is intimate, warm and familiar. We’ve revelled in her every detail. We’ve established a rarified menu focusing on Northern Italian cuisine and delicate coastal, Mediterranean flavour.

Giulia is a new imagining of what an Italian restaurant can be. It always was the place of our dreams, the reason for our collaboration, and the culmination of—and conduit for—our collective passion.

From the OpenTable editors: Osteria Giulia, chef Rob Rossi and restaurateur David Minicucci’s follow-up to Giulietta, builds on its sibling’s accolades. Rossi’s take on Ligurian-inspired dishes like hand-braided pasta with wild squid is equal parts fresh and refined and exudes the same understated elegance as the restaurant’s serene Yorkville dining room.

    Such an amazing dining experience, the atmosphere is cozy yet chic but also very minimalist. The food was absolutely delicious, the pastas are perfectly done paired with such amazing flavor profiles. Seafood is a must get here! Definitely a returning customer!

    Outstanding experience from start to finish! Samantha and Amar took great care of us, and the sommelier provided us an excellent recommendation for a bottle of wine. The entire staff were on point. The food quality was amazing and portion sizes were just right. We will be back soon.

    Food was fantastic and service was even better. Servers were always watching making sure you had everything you needed. One table was super loud so the noise level was moderate but once they left pretty quiet. Small but awesome look / vibe to the restaurant.

    What a fantastic first experience! The atmosphere was very chic while also feeling serene. The service was great! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. Finally, the food was delicious! The veal carpaccio is a must and the pasta (snow crab) and seafood platter were succulent.

    Can’t remember if it was our fifth or sixth time here. All time favourite Italian place in Toronto! The caviar burrata is absolutely unforgettable, and hand-braided pasta is something you’ll never find anywhere else.
