   We love Savio Volpe and have been coming here for all our birthdays and anniversaries since it opened. The food is always outstanding. A lovely touch too with the birthday dessert tonight. My husband and I usually order a spread of about five dishes or so as the plates are meant for sharing, at least that is how the server explained it to us on our very first visit ten years ago. Tonight however our server (gentleman with multi-strand pearl necklace) must have remarked no less than 5 times that we “must be hungry” when we ordered our food pointing out that it was “a lot for two people” (even though our two young kids were with us at the table… do they not count?), and saying he was “impressed” when we finished most of it and saying “still hungry?” when we placed our dessert order. Are you kidding me? How rude to suggest we were overeating, especially when we have come to celebrate and enjoy a night out. Plus, wouldn’t you want to sell more food as a restaurant? Not sure what the point was of making such remarks but it was definitely off-putting. First time for us that the service has been sub-par in the ten years we’ve been coming, and sadly it left a bad after-taste.

   Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. Attentive to details - it was my girlfriends birthday and they had a card on the table and brought out a candle-lit gelato. Food was very good with high quality, fresh ingredients. Careful of upselling when ordering - we ordered quite a bit of food for the table and were met with 'are you sure you ordered enough? Are you not that hungry?' from our waiter. Seemed like a ploy to increase the overall bill and consequently his tip. We didn't take his advice and left stuffed.

   Food was great, service was so so. Food took too long, didn’t get delivered all together. Our server was rude ( but I saw other servers being attentive and friendly )

   Husband and I did a rare date night yesterday at Savio Volpe and we always do the tasting menu. Unfortunately, the food we had last night was just average. We're usually blown away by how good the whole dining experience is at OSV so, it was disappointing to be served such mid dishes. The apple walnut salad was just okay and nothing special. It felt like a subpar chef's salad, in the sense that they just tossed whatever leftover ingredients the kitchen had. They said they used Szechuan pepper in the dressing, not that I particularly enjoy it as a spice, but we barely tasted it so that was also a disappointing note. The roasted cauliflower was great, but the sauce it came with has a little too much of a sour taste to it. It got a little unpleasant tasting the overpowering sour note by the middle of the course. The two other tables we were sandwiched in between that also did the family style menu had better-looking dishes served to them. I couldn't help but compare as we were in very close proximity to them. The wait between the courses also felt longer than usual. Don't get me wrong, we still finished all the food that was served to us because we always look forward to dining at OSV, but the whole experience last night was underwhelming and I am really sad to be writing this review.

    This restaurant is sensational. Food and service is above and beyond. Great wine list and just a really nice vibe. We sat at the bar and had a really good time talking to one of the staff, Zac. His job was working the meat slicer and preparing the antipasto which was on the menu. There are lots of different seating options and the Italian food that we ate was so good. We had a beautiful Pio Cesare Chardonnay that was recommended to us. It was perfection. If you like great Italian food and a welcoming atmosphere this is for you.
