   Heavily overbooked for Valentine’s Day and we were kept waiting outside for almost an hour after our 8:45 reservation. Some people had ‘paid deposits’ which meant they were able to skip the queue, but we hadn’t been contacted by the restaurant to do so. Created more annoyance and confusion. Only two waiters on floor to handle the queue of frustrated customers as well as the packed restaurant. Luckily the food was delicious and we were plied with free alcohol to keep us content. Restaurant kept open until 1am so everybody could finish their food as well. Our waiter was a great guy and did a superb job under the circumstances, although both waiters were annoyingly evasive about how long we’d be waiting for a table and kept stringing us along. Up front honesty would have gone down better. Delicious food, good wine, decent value.

   Unfortunately, this restaurant seriously mismanaged their Valentines bookings and left many, many people disappointed. I made my reservation on open table (and even confirmed it), but there was no table for my husband and I when we arrived at our res time. The restaurant had called all the bookings a few days before to get deposits, and I hadn’t picked up the phone as I didn’t know the number. There was no further communication that my reservation was canceled. It was still showing on open table when I arrived. There were about 7 other couples in the exact same situation when we arrived. I’m sure there were many more throughout the night. It was very disappointing and we just had to go home as there were obviously not tables available elsewhere on Valentines. It’s a shame because we’ve dined here before and it’s lovely. They should’ve required a deposit through opentable, or cancelled my open table reservation. It’s shouldn’t have happened that I arrived at the restaurant with a valid open table reservation and was turned away.

   Welcoming staff. Looked after us well. Catered specifically for one of our group who had a non dairy request. Good Burrata and calamari starters. Sea bass main was good. Three of us had steak, they were all really tough. Even the medium rare one was chewy and not what you would expect from a restaurant like this. I mentioned this to the staff at the end and it wasn’t acknowledged at all. Disappointing evening as a result as it was an Xmas eve family outing.

   We always get treated like family here with a big welcome. We come from Chelsea to eat here regularly and it has become our not so local ‘local’. The food is excellent !

   Wine and service was excellent unfortunately two of us had Vongole and the clams were very gritty and sandy…

   We were given a lovely table, the restaurant was toasty and had a buzzy atmosphere. Each dish we had was delicious, very fresh and tasty. Good wine by the glass, excellent service from helpful people. It was a fabulous evening, highly recommend!

   If you want something special, in a pleasant area, and with good food, attentive staff in plush surroundings, this is the place to go.

    Really good meal. Good options available. Pricey but not crazy for London at all - quality versus price was super strong. Service was great and personal. We booked a table for 6 on Tuesday but plenty of people could walk in!
