   Beautiful space but terrible service and hits and misses with the food. The pull apart buns was actually just a very crusty half loaf of bread but we had a steak which was good but certainly not worth the $85 price tag. Most cocktails can be made with non alcoholic spirits which was really nice to see. They were clearly understaffed and the waiter did not have enough time to give proper service at all. An okay place for a very expensive casual dinning experience but do not go here expecting a fine dinning experience equivalent to the cost. Overall, not a very positive experience and would not recommend going here at all.

   Incredible service. We had multiple people taking care of our table and it was a team effort to ensure we had the best experience possible. The foods was delicious! The shrimp appetizer tasted like lobster and the brisket melted in our mouth. I am not usually a fan of cheesecake, but it was light and tasty. The best meal we've had in a long time. It was a romantic place to share a meal and we are grateful to have a beautiful, historic hotel as a Winnipeg anchor.

   The ambiance is spectacular, and the meal was excellent. My husband declared they had "The best breadsticks in the world!". The chatter was muted despite the crowd, and we could easily converse. The serving staff were professional and gracious. Can't wait to come back.

   We love the Hotel Fort Garry and the Oval Room. It reminds me of the great railway dining rooms. The atmosphere is second to none …. My favourite place to eat in Winnipeg. The staff are fantastic ….. service incredible. Last night we were served by Fran. Very professional and a great sense of humour. The last time we were served by Sam….. these are the two best servers in the City. Keep up the great work… thank you !!!!

   A wonderful brunch experience to celebrate my mom’s 95th birthday. Our sever Jean made our lunch extra special by going the extra mile and paying special attention to her We enjoyed the French onion soup and chicken Caesar salad and of course - mimosas for the ladies We will be back It was also extra special for afternoon/evening manager Pauline and server Fran to come over and share a bit (a lot) of birthday love for mom

   A wonderful experience at the Brassetie. I enjoyed the smoked goldeye appetizer (really appreciated - haven’t had goldeye for many years - always a treat), and the tuna Niçoise salad (server Darians personal recommendation) and lovely Bordeaux (thanks to sommelier Christopher) Manager Pauline and server Darian took great care to ensure great seating, and great service.     The dining room is elegant and beautiful; easily accessible with ample parking on the upper parking lot, and the restaurant is located just inside the doors. The staff are welcoming and warm, and made us feel valued from the start of our dining experience. The only suggestion is the attentiveness to service being a little better; we waited a while in between the appetizer and main course even though we ordered all together. Regardless, our experience has meant a definite return to the Oval Room Brasserie. The food is tremendous, presentation on point and staff were amazing.
