My wife and I were excited about our reservation to Ovide for their New Year’s menu, but the experience ended up being terrible and I cannot in good faith recommend this restaurant to anyone. Between waiting 10 minutes for a server to show, being rushed and given courses when we were still eating the previous course, being served the dessert course before getting the main course, confusion about the menu (BEET tartare served in the restaurant and listed on the online menu, BEEF tartare listed on the menu in the restaurant), and getting a server who had no apparent knowledge of the menu, I can’t believe anyone considers this place to be an upscale restaurant. Despite the food being just okay, it was overshadowed by the absolutely terrible service. At $500 for the food, premium wine pairing, and (mandatory) 20% service charge, we definitely expected something special that we didn’t get. I wish that we had gone to the Olive Garden for New Year’s Eve instead. Don’t waste your time and money on this “fine dining” experience.

The 4 of us celebrated NYE. Hadn't been there before. Loved our selections! Wonderful food. Our server Aubree, was exceptional and took care of all our needs on such a busy night. We will be back!

We had a great experience. We sat outside, even though it was chilly for everyone else, we had heaters and loved it (we are from Iowa so it was warm for us). Our waiter was wonderful. We had the biscuits as starters and three of our party had the chicken, one had the sea scallops which was a feature, and one had a tortellini special. All were tasty and wonderful. We didn't have room for dessert but one person in our party had hot chocolate that was divine. Service was very attentive and kind throughout with our waiter who was from Peru.

Eggs were great. Biscuits light and fluffy. But the gravy lacked flavor and was “doughy.” Definitely not a southern style gravy. Avocado toast was excellent!! Fruit was very fresh. Will go back but not for breakfast.

Excellent food everyone was super kind. We did have to wait over 10 minutes for someone to bring us water but it was Christmas brunch. Will go again. Food was excellent.

Very quiet. Polite server who did treat us very well. Food is expensive for the quantity, but good taste and quality.

We paid $95 a person for Thanksgiving buffet and they charged us 20% gratuity on top of that for buffet meal ($38). Our waiter brought water, tea, coffee and cleared plates.Our bill was $241. The food was very disappointing. The prime rib was literally raw and I like my steak rare. The turkey was dry, cranberry suace had no sugar and was bitter, mashed potatoes and stuffing were good, gravy very salty. The clams were inedible and disgusting, the crab claws had weird sauce on them and also not good, swordfish had zero flavor, the lobster salad was delicious, desserts 2 star. Staff were very nice but the food was not worth more than $20 a person. For $109 a person I expected better quality food. You are paying for going into Sandestin. We would have been better off at Cracker Barrel. Definitely would not suggest Ovide for Holiday Buffets.
