   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our second visit to Oyamel and I must say, this incredible Mexican tapas restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern style and traditional charm. The menu is offers traditional Mexican flavors with an upscale twist that truly sets it apart. The highlights of our meal came from the ceviche bar (Aguachile de Camarón and Atún Pacifico). I also must admit that hands down, the *café de olla* dessert is an absolute must have. It was an absolute revelation! The rich, spiced coffee flavor paired with the sweet, caramelized notes was pure perfection. It’s a must-have, and I’d come back just for this alone! A huge shoutout to our server, Jonathan, who made the experience even more memorable. He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable of the menu. His recommendations were spot-on, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines authentic flavors with a touch of sophistication, this is the place. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their amazing dishes.

   The menu was very unique. My husband tried tacos with grasshoppers on top. My daughter had a very unique breakfast option with a special Mexican dough with steak and eggs. The taco selection was very interesting and good and I had the enchiladas that were great. We tried the Mexican coffee which had clove and cinnamon. I had never had that before so it was yummy to try something new on a cold day! Tablesude quac, salsa and chips were yummy!

   Had a great visit for lunch. Had a reservation for four but showed up with one extra person and they immediately accommodated us. Food was great, especially the guacamole, the green chicken chile tamal, and the cochinita pibil tacos. Service was excellent. Everything came out really fast and our waiter was great about checking in to see if we needed anything. Will definitely return!

   The food and service was quite good. I’d definitely come back for those. On the flip side, there is little to no noise mitigation indoors - it was quite loud between the music and other patrons. It was difficult to hear the other people at our small table during our earlyish (630pm) dinner without raising our voices to a near-shout. Weather permitting, I’d highly recommend snagging an outdoor spot - it’s significantly quieter despite traffic sounds, tables being set closer together, and music being piped outside.

   Our waitress yesterday was amazing! She explained in perfect detail everything we were eating. Great job, great food off of the food tasting menu.

   Guacamole is FANTASTIC, the salsa is also great. Birria tacos were very flavorful. Margaritas were tasty, slightly pricy but no complaints.
