   Seated immediately at 5:30 on day after Christmas in a booth. We always find this place noisy, even though it was only half full at that hour. Alyssa was our server, greeted us warmly after we were seated. She was attentive and friendly all through the meal. Had a Deschutes IPA to start, wife had fish tacos, generously sized with black beans and chips and salsa (her choice). I have the two-piece fish and chips with sweet potato fires and a nice sweet chili sauce. Both dishes nicely prepared by my two pieces of fish were MUCH smaller than the fish in her tacos.

   The food is always fantastic at this restaurant and the service is usually great as well, but on this visit the service was a little slow. It was not much of an issue as it was Christmas Eve and I believe the restaurant was a little short staffed. We felt our waiter did as well as he could as it appeared that he was only one of two waiters/waitresses we saw working the entire restaurant and both of them were doing hosting as well.

   Good food, tasteful and comfortable dining room, and excellent service. Perfect for a special yet healthy family meal. Will be returning and supporting this establishment in our neighborhood.

   Food and service were terrific. The sashimi bowl had fresh fish and a great assortment of vegetables.

   Server was overworked but really sweet! Shrimp tempura sushi was off it didn’t have any crunch, coconut shrimp was fabulous as usual, better than Tommy Bahamas actually the best in the OC. Salmon bowl is my fave item in the menu but the salmon wasn’t seared and a little undercooked. Time to get rid of the straws that crack and include sweeteners and salt and pepper on tables. Servers are too busy for tiny requests and not having those items can wreck a perfectly good meal. Also what happened to offering the standard 15% tip? It’s a distasteful practice especially when servers are watching you pay. Yes, there is a custom option which I used, but I don’t like being dictated to.

   I live nearby, but I just hadn’t been here yet to eat. A friend suggested we go and I’m sure glad they did. The food was great. Service was attentive, fast and friendly. Menu is diverse and appropriately priced. It was my friend’s birthday and he got a free dessert (and thankfully, no singing!!). The four of us shared a pitcher of mai tais, which was a very good value actually. Great experience and I’ll definitely go back.

   We enjoyed the happy hour menu. The prices were good, we had the Ceviche Trio, very tasty and fresh. The crispy won tons were great, but the heavy and hard tortilla chips not so great...their lack of light and crispy did not pair with dish. If you could change that up, it would be a perfect dish. Still tasty though!
