   In 2024/25 a restaurant that is serving prefixe menu should not run out of appetizers or desserts (all options while the restaurant was still full). Waitstaff constantly yelling order in/order out at the kitchen door (why?) Service was friendly but very slow. In need of a serious upgrade to operations.

   Ran out of set menu items for Appetizers / deserts. Offered terrible alternative’s. Service was terrible and even though it was New Years, there was no excuse for running out of food or a lack of service.

   It was NYE so there needs to be a little forgiveness. The food was good but they ran out of things telling us 2 hours after we ordered. Help was totally frazzled. For a seasoned restaurant they acted like rookies handling the situation. With a fixed menu and reservation only setting what a mess

   Went for New Year’s Eve—usually my favorite place. Service was slow, waitress was swamped so never checked on us. Salmon was good, they served it with the he rice that was supposed to go with the Seabass. I asked the manager if they were out of mashed potatoes. He got me an order of mashed potatoes—much better with the salmon! My husband had the steak and said it was good. He ordered a house cab, said it was terrible, they did take it off our bill. I just think it was so busy that our dinner fell short.

   I realize that the service was slow and salad portions were small and that some of the deserts ran out at 8pm and that prices were higher than normal account it was New Years eve…. But it shouldn’t be slower, portion size should be the same and enough deserts on hand for the anticipated crowd. Didn’t feel I got my value out of the $290 I spent.

   The appetizers and the scallops were very good . The desserts ( bread pudding and apple crumble ) were very cold, dry and hard . We paid $ 100/ person and extra for wines. Considering it was NYE it was fine but if the desserts were better ,it would have been an outstanding meal.

   New Years Eve usually means fair to poor service and food. Not last night! Excellent food on the price fixe menu. Superior service from a great server. 4 happy diners.

    Our first time at Pacifica. Had a reservation, but still had to wait almost 30mins for our table. Food was good, but presentation very lacking. Service was spotty at best. For the high price, we expected more. There are plenty of other nicer restaurants to chose from in the desert. I have a feeling Pacifica gets a lot their business because of their location on El Paseo.
