Enjoy traditional Thai cuisine at PAI. Owners Jeff and Nuit Regular, who is also the executive chef, opened PAI for patrons to taste the authentic flavours of Northern Thailand. Its menu features appetizers like vegetarian spring rolls and papaya salad with dried shrimp.     The flavors at Pai are truly remarkable, and the presentation of the dishes is excellent. However, we were a bit disappointed with the scarcity of meat in some of the dishes, especially since the shrimp portions were perfect, which left us a little confused. While our waiter was very kind, he seemed to have quite a few tables to manage, and we found ourselves looking for him several times throughout the night. Despite plenty of staff walking around, many appeared to be wandering aimlessly, which impacted our overall experience. That said, the delicious flavors and thoughtful presentation of the food were definite highlights of our visit

    Today the service was not very good. I would give it one star. I spilled water the server didn’t wipe the table/mop the floor nor asked someone too. She was also not smart enough to give me extra napkins. She didn’t clear the dishes when we were finished. I understand she was busy. pai is always busy. I asked for extra sauce and she didn’t tell us there was extra charge.

    The overall atmosphere was great, with stylish interior design and a fantastic vibe. However, the food portions were quite small for the price. I usually struggle to finish a full meal, but here, it was easy to finish everything.

    The food at PAI was awesome and the servers were very polite and attentive even though we took a while to decide on what to eat. The portions are large even the starter sized Tom Yun Soup was likely enough for a meal. We ordered that, some delicious an subtle flavored shrimp chips that came with an excellent tamarind dipping sauce. For our main courses we ate khai soi and pad kraw see. The khai soi was in a fantastic creamy coconut curry that came with chili oil that gave it as much spice as I wanted though the flavor was great on its own. Truly some of the best Thai food I have had anywhere, and the Uptown location was fairly open as opposed to the packed main spot. I would highly recommend coming here to try other dishes.
