We had a 6:00 pm. Not busy and our entrees came before we finished our cocktails, so the pace for an upscale dinner took an hour with Banana Foster prepared at the table. Meh.

For Dickie Brennan’s name to be attached to it, this was a disappointment. We are locals who have been to lots of the New Orleans mainstays. I’ll say our waiter was very nice and attentive so I can’t complain about that. The portion sizes were ridiculously small for the price. The peppered duck was tiny and overcooked, though well seasoned. The Shrimp Tchefuncte really needed to be served over a heartier carbohydrate, such as a creamy grits rather than plain white rice. And it also needed some type of green or vegetable to complete the meal. The bananas foster dessert consisted of about 2 bites of banana per person and a minuscule amount of ice cream. Sadly, this felt like a tourist trap, and while the actual flavors of the food were good, it was definitely not worth your money. I expected better from the brand.

Excellent lunch at the Palace. Food and service were superb. The crawlfiah cheesecake, salads, and bananas foster performance were all top notch!

Rahm was an exceptional server who share so much knowledge about the Bananas Foster and the Brennan family. Our food was served timely, hot and scrumptious! New Orleans is the most unique and welcoming city in the world!
