What a great experience! From the table side jazz to the Head Chef spending time talking to us and giving our kids a private kitchen tour with a special dessert- couldn’t be beat. Only in New Orleans 💗 Wow!!

The service was excellent and it is always a class place to eat in NOLA. The gumbo was perfection and especially on a cool day. The pasta and shrimp dish was very good but the homemade pasta was not my favorite. I would recommend Palace Cafe for a great dining experience.

Wonderful, as always. While the fried oysters with bacon jam are no longer on the menu, our server cajoled the kitchen into preparing as an appetizer and they were better than ever! Thank you for accommodating my craving. : )

I made a reservation for 10:30 on Feb. 22 for my sister’s belated 60th birthday. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and Brie Fondue. The fondue was very good however, the Eggs Benedict was not. The taste was very unpleasant and when I told our server she said, “are you serious?” I told her yes, and that I would still pay for it but, she needed to know something was wrong with that flavor profile. Pamela brought our bill, of course with the Benedict still charged to us; there was 3/4 of the food still on the plate when she took it. A manager never came to speak to us which should be standard practice with that type of complaint. Also, there was never any mention of celebrating my sister’s birthday, which was clearly noted on my reservation. I was not happy about that! The visit was not worth the time, or money, spent there at all. We were highly disappointed and will not return when back in NOLA as there are far too many places with a great brunch in town.

Heard and read many good things about this place. Appetizer of fried green tomatoes was the stand out (and not something I’d usually get!). Main dishes were Shrimp Tchefuncte and Pasta St. Charles. Would not do the Shrimp Tchefuncte ever again, disappointing. The pasta dish had great flavors. An oddity was that the shrimp in both dishes was poorly cooked or prepared. Shrimp had no flavor and an odd texture (as in almost soft and gooey, like I said, odd). We did not care for the manner in which the server poured our drinks. I had an Ambita Amber, and she turned the bottle, literally upside down inside of my glass. Thus the beer, float out cover covering almost the entire bottle.

Excellent food and service, but awfully loud. We had the French onion soup, turtle soup, "cheesecake", and filet. Everything was excellent.
