Palette provides a colorful dining experience with an American inspired menu featuring in-house cut steaks and 21-day aged 100% black Angus beef.

As we inherited a space as historical as the former Mautz Paint Company warehouse, we had to do it justice. We kept our building’s architectural features intact while updating the space with contemporary design elements and nostalgic touches. We wanted to keep the space faithful to its roots; filled with hues of colors and textures reminiscing of times when the East Washington corridor was a booming industrial area in the city.

Our menu features steak cuts made in-house, chef’s masterpieces, artisan salads and soups, along with a unique beer and hand-crafted cocktail selection.

Loved the atmosphere of Palette! They did a great job incorporating decor representing the old paint store that it used to be!! Service was great and the employees were pleasant and looked like they enjoyed their job. The food had good and fair aspects. It was Restaurant Week so I chose an item from that menu, my husband did not. I had chicken fettuccine with salad and strawberry mouse. The citrus salad was great and refreshing. The grilled chicken was great, but the noodles had a tomato sauce--however, there was hardly any sauce so the noodles were rather dry. The mousse was also good and refreshing. My husband had salad, steak and some baby reds mashed potatoes. He stated that his salad was also great, and the steak and potatoes were all fine, but not outstanding. We both had a brandy old fashioned--they were great but kind of pricey at $12.00 a piece. Glad we tried it and would like to go back sometime and try something else.

We tried this as a new place for Restaurant Week and were very pleased with the friendly, capable staff, the lovely design of the dining room, and excellent cuisine and creative cocktails.

The servíce was very slow. We had our appetizers before our drinks. It was loud, our server wore a mask, which was fine but she couldn’t speak loudly either. Good experience overall but a few small critiques.

Very nice art deco eatery with elevated sophistication! Food was absolutely amazing. Whole family, including super picky, were shocked at how good it all was.

The Palette Bar and Grill was an overall wonderful experience with fast and friendly service, fun drinks, and delicious food. I went early evening on a Saturday and it was nice and quiet with several seats available at the bar and many open tables in the dining room. It was a very nice date night experience and I would definitely recommend.

Parking was horrendous. No street parking and had to go up to level 5 in the parking garage since the other levels are all reserved. Also, the restaurant is inside the hotel. There are no signs outside stating this. The decor is amazing and such a great theme that pays homage to its history. The cocktails are phenomenal as is the food. A bit pricey for apps and small plates but worth it in the end.

Great cocktails, the turkey special was delicious, and our server Tanika was outstandig. We like it because it's a comfotable room and not too noisy.
